So, I'm in the market for a good filter that will remove chlorine and still have very good water pressure. Any suggestions? (Or a link to that lost thread?) Thanks, justme | | | January 12th, 2004, 07:22 PM | #2 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: May 2003 Posts: 2,164 | justme, here's a link: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/viewtopic.php?t=105&highlight=shower+filter I think Pixna uses a shower filter, also. Maybe you could PM her if she doesn't see your post. I'm thinking about looking into some shower-head filters, too. Our water is so hard here (I can tell by the residue it leaves in my pan I use for humidiying! ) Yuk! If you decide to purchase one, would you mind letting me know about it? Posts: 2,339 | Great memory, MissKim!! I'm impressed!! I use a water filter in our kitchen (TerraFlo brand) and in the shower, but I don't know the name of the one we use in the shower. Our shower head has the regular "pulse, spray, massage" or whatever the designations are -- the filter doesn't interfere with our water pressure at all. It filters out chlorine and heavy minerals -- it doesn't make our water soft, per se, but it does make it softER. I wouldn't shower or wash my hair without a filter. The water where we live is very hard and there's a huge difference with the filter. __________________ 2/F-M/ii Caramel brown with gold and copper highlights and a growing barrage of silvers. | | | January 14th, 2004, 07:50 AM | #5 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Apr 2003 Posts: 497 | I have a Culligan water filter in my shower, and I really have noticed a difference since I started using it. The pressure is fine, too! I have been wondering myself about getting a shower filter and may check out the ones posted on this thread. I have noticed that my hair is not as curly since moving to my new apartment and the touch of it has changed too... I can only attritbute it to the water from the shower head (maybe not enough pressure as in my old apartment... minerals... etc... ) as I have pretty much ruled out changes in diet or products I am using as the culprits. Thanks again. Take care all, Wepa (Who took a peek at Nc.com and am much much happier as a member at LHC. It always seems like there is always a huge 6 to 10 page thread fighting about this or that at Nc.com... I am so glad there is none of this here at LHC and feel so much at home here) __________________ | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
