Large bead is light green with bronze crackle finish. Smaller green beads are plastic, silver accents metal. Overall Length: 7.5in Usable Length: 6in So far these sticks are my favourite. The colour of both the sticks and the beads are really beautiful. What I especially like about them is that they are very solid put together. Also, I don't feel like the sticks are going to brake when I use them since they are made of steel not wood. Service was also great, they arrived safely in Norway a few days after shipping. Very thorough packing! Picture of the sticks in action: Edit: Tried to resize the picture but photobucket refuses to do what I tell it to do. __________________ My two sweeties Last edited by Liv : May 7th, 2007 at 08:24 AM. | | | May 7th, 2007, 08:13 AM | #2 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Canada Age: 54 Posts: 6,960 Length: 14/20+/BSL Type: 2c/3a/M/C/iii | OH I have some of Nightshade's sticks and they are gorgeous. Mine were a present from Celogrl. I'll get a picture today and post it here. | | | May 7th, 2007, 08:23 AM | #3 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Terre D'Ange Age: 32 Posts: 4,404 Length: 23.5/33/36 Type: 1c/M/ii | Liv- Thank you for posting action pictures. Those look so sharp in your dark hair jessie58- That'd be so awesome of you It's always so cool to see where they end up rather than just going in a box and disappearing forever. | | | May 8th, 2007, 07:29 AM | #4 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Jumping into the Guardian of Forever Posts: 561 Length: ~ 17"/38"/Class Type: 1a/M/ii/iii | Liv, I love those sticks and nearly went for them myself! They look so great in your hair. What I ended up with, and love, is the hair fork Nightshade made. The fork itself is nearly swallowed up in my hair, but the dangly part which is so pretty shows! I need to do a tidier job on the bun next time, but you can see the fork! Last edited by PseudoScot : May 8th, 2007 at 07:35 AM. I'm rather amazed that fork can hold up all that hair If anyone is interested, here are larger pictures of Liv's sticks and PseudoScot's fork. I'm so glad you guys liked them | | | May 8th, 2007, 10:02 AM | #6 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: May 2005 Location: Norway Age: 47 Posts: 354 Length: 48cm/63cm/89cm Type: 2c/M/C/ii | Thank's PseudoScot, the fork you got is great! I like that only the dangly part shows, looks very elegant in your hair. Now I want one of them too , I wonder if it's possible to make one where the dangly part is made of silver (or something like that) - would look great with my bunad (Norwegian national costume). (I'll PM you about that Nightshade.) Someday then | | | May 8th, 2007, 07:24 PM | #8 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Canada Age: 54 Posts: 6,960 Length: 14/20+/BSL Type: 2c/3a/M/C/iii | These are my Nightshade sticks, I will have to let Nightshade describe them to you. All I know is that they are gorgeous. They're actually silver toned but the color in the first picture gives them a yellowish hue. Sorry my DD didn't get the whole stick in the pick but it looks exactly like the stick in the first post on this thread. Type: 2c/3a/M/i/ii | Really poor photos and really poor hair (it's all wispy 'cause it's hot/humid out, I've walked a lot, it's wash day, etc. etc. standard excuses ); I just threw it up to show off the sticks for this thread. They're gorgeous! I am a huge fan of them, and am keeping my eye out for any similar leaf beads, so that I could make matching earrings. And another, equally poor shot: Sorry if they're too big... I can try to make them smaller if it's a problem. (Please excuse my dinky bun.) Best of luck to you in school jessie58- Your sticks are stainless steel (duh, right? ) topped with sterling silver, more stainless steel, and swaroski crystals. Koala Kim- hrimfaxi- Wow, those look great with your hair color! If I can find those beads again I'd be happy to pick up a pack and send them to you And your bun isn't dinky. Pani_Mniszek- So how about some pictures? | | | May 9th, 2007, 10:38 AM | #15 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: Pittsburgh, PA (school)/Northern VA Age: 26 Posts: 330 Length: shldr/27"/term? I haven't convinced myself that it's my style. That would be awesome! (If you see those beads again.) They're so pretty. I agree that Pani_Mniszek should post pics. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
