Confession

I could only admit this here and possibly to my closest girlfriend. So I've been feeling pretty worn down getting over a cold. Sunday morning I washed my hair and through it into a cinnabun using a ficcare. It's now wednesday and it's still in the SAME bun . Yes that 3 nights, 3 days at work, one long hike and three showers later that I've worn this thing though. Gonna take it down and detangle tonight theres gonna be a rats nest of shed hairs when I'm done.

Re: Confession

Ehh, that's nothing. I had the flu earlier this year and went a week straight where I did nothing to my hair. I just left it loose and let it tangle itself up until I felt well enough to take a bath. And oh boy was it tangled. My head ached too much to wear it up that week.

Re: Confession

Yeah but hair never really feels better than washing it when it is completely filthy and desperately in need of being washed. Everytime I completely neglect my hair when it needs to be washed, I see if I can push it to the limit just to feel how soft it is when I finally wash it.

Re: Confession

Sometimes I'll go a day or two if I'm very tired or not well... and boy do I pay for it with tangles and sheds. Oooof.

Good luck and don't lose too much hair to shedding and breakage! Gently does it.

Re: Confession

When I was hospitilized I went a week with out washing and then 2 more weeks in bed. I ended up cutting it off; it annoyed me so much.

Re: Confession

I wash every 5 to 8 days. Don't feel bad. I mean, in the Victorian times women washed hair once a month, and they in general had the most beautiful hair then.
