Happy Hair Comment Days!

*happy* Today in my tutor group, a Mexican girl approached me and asked if she could look at my hair when it is down! So I took out the bun I had been wearing, and she just gasped and told me how shiny and soft it was looking, and how much longer it had grown since she had last seen me (4 weeks ago).

I think it's comments like these that truly keep me going =). Has anybody else had a nice, happy hair comment lately? This was such a positive event on an already quite happy day! (I was getting very good exam results back).

What I am thinking though, that if she considers my hair long (O.o it's not even at BSL!) it truly proves how little people let their hair grow nowadays!

I've not had any hair compliment recently. When I visit my parents my mother always mentions that it looks nice.

Honestly, I secretly long for the day that a stranger compliments my hair.

Yes, I got one a week or so ago. I was wearing my hair in a plait instead of up (first time in about 4 months) and the woman behind me in a queue started telling me how nice my hair was, asking how long it had taken to grow it etc. She said it was so nice to see because now everyone had short hair, and I must save so much money by not going to the hairdresser.
I don't usually get anyone commenting on my hair because it is either up so they don't realise how long it is or pulled round in front if I have it plaited, so it was quite a surprise to me. I probably blinked at her like an idiot.

Whenever I see someone with beautiful hair in a class or anything at Uni, I will always compliment them and see if I can feel it. I love hair

I got a sort-of compliment today

I was in woodwork class and I forgot my hair band to tie my hair back with. I wasn't gonna go near the sanding machine with my hair loose so my friend offered one of her hair bands. A very scary one with metal bits. I politely refused and whipped my hair up into a messy bun with a pencil. You should've seen the look on my friends face XD priceless. She gasped and went "Wow! Thats like magic"

Other than that, there was my mum saying "Your hair's getting longer now"

Yes, it really feels good to hear nice things about your hair! I don't let my hair grow for anyone but myself, but it's always so relieving to hear that other people like it as well!

I got complimented on Saturday evening, I'd had my hair up in a stickless bun and it unravelled while I was walking. Two friends were walking behind me and one exclaimed; "Your hair is so beautiful, and long! You should wear it down more." And the other agreed. In my group of friends sadly we don't compliment eachother that much on appearances, if someone is beautiful or has some beautiful feature we just assume they know it and don't need to get all puffed up about it... But even though I happend to think my hair looks pretty good, I do sometimes get insecure about it, since people very seldom comment on it, be it good or bad.

And your hair is beautiful, and so shiny!

I don't get any hair compliments ever. Closest thing I've gotten was a compliment on my new flexi-8 this weekend. A lady at my sister's baby shower said it was very pretty.
And since my mother likes short hair, I never hear a positive word from her on my longish hair.
I mean, I like my hair fine and I guess that's what's important. But it's still nice to hear that I'm not the only one who thinks so. Oh well.
