I had quite possibly my single worst hair day in a year today.

I read an article yesterday that explained how the only way to make hair moister (is that a word?) was to introduce more water. Oil just coats the surface and possibly protects hair from damage. Water is what makes it soft and silky. Of course, silly me should have known that already, since that applies to skin, too, and I've read it for skin millions of times. (If you put a raisin in oil, it will stay shriveled. If you put it in water, it'll plump up.)
Anyways, so I thought I would try wetting my hair in the shower last night to introduce moisture. Ha! Bad idea there, April. I don't know what it did, but it wasn't what I wanted. This morning, my hair was dry, frizzy, tangly, ::add all additional general descriptions of bad hair days::. Plus, today was grocery shopping day and it was raining. My tangly hair was so nasty that I just put it in a ponytail. Then I stuffed the ponytail into my hood. Then I left the same ponytail in all day. Bad April! When I went to detangle before my shower tonight, it had so many knots.
Now, to my credit (pardon me while I feel smug for a moment...okay, that'll do it), I was very gentle in getting the tangles out. A few months ago, and I would have just ripped through them with my plastic paddle brush, but, I used my seamless plastic very wide tooth comb and gently picked them apart. Then I did a Finesse/honey combo for the last step of my CWC.
Hopefully...things will be better tomorrow.
