Re: Roped-Bun Instructions (cscheck's Avator)

Of course I don't mind. The whole reason there are instructions is so people will do the bun! <goes off to check Samara Morgan's photothread> I'm glad you liked it too!

Re: Roped-Bun Instructions (cscheck's Avator)

This is to.die.for.gorgeous. It's also the only intricate looking updo I think I've ever done, and I got it on the first try (I can't believe I've never made a rope braid before). I'm wearing it right now and it's secure and very comfortable. Thank you so much for posting this!!!

Re: Roped-Bun Instructions (cscheck's Avatar)

cscheck,

Yours is another style I have admired (and envied!) from afar. I really thought it would be much more complicated. I do have one question: is there a trick to getting the hair stick to hold the bun? Mine never do, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong!

Thanks for sharing!

Re: Roped-Bun Instructions (cscheck's Avatar)

I put my hair in a rope braid for work this morning but it was getting messed up by rubbing on the chair. So I put it in this bun and pushed an ink pen into it. It has stayed all day and is soo beautiful and comfortable. I'll definately be doing this one more often. Thanks for the instructions!
