Wheatgrass juice for hair growth/hair loss?

Who has experience with drinking wheatgrass juice and the effects on their hair?

Re: Wheatgrass juice for hair growth/hair loss?

hmm.. from my extensive research on two people, here's my theory:
WG is good for you in general. Good nutrition= good growth.
BUT if you are a hippie guy with pattern baldness who refuses to trim splits, you get nowhere.

it's great in ear for ear infections, for whatever that tidbit is worth.

Re: Wheatgrass juice for hair growth/hair loss?

i had been applying it to my scalp, and also either juicing or taking about 3 capsules, for about three weeks. i swear, my hair loss decreased - though too short to talk about growth. but, also, my scalp felt healthier - not as dry and almost none of the 'pimples' i had. i ran out and i think it partly explains my increased shed in the last 10 days, coupled with a return of dry scalp and pimples...

i have read the wheatgrass helps, but, like truepeacenik, not from too many sources.

i buy mine from healthnutalternatives.com, sweatwheat brand. i usually take 3-4 capsules in the morning on an empty stomach [if i don't juice] and wait about 20 minutes before drinking or eating anything else. and after shampoo, i mix about 2-3 tsp of water with one capsule, and apply using a dropper.

Re: Wheatgrass juice for hair growth/hair loss?

Thanks. I have just started juicing wheatgrass yesterday. I've never thought of putting it on my scalp though, maybe I'll try!

ak, how long after you started the WG, did you notice the decrease in shed? I remembered you said KV oil reduced your shed dramatically, is it still working to maintain the low shed? And did the WG further reduce your shed? Thanks.

Re: Wheatgrass juice for hair growth/hair loss?

Just to update, I think my shed has decreased about 30% in the last 10 days, now I don't know if it is because of the wheatgrass juice, which I drink everyday since 8 days ago or if it is because I started putting Tea tree oil on my scalp every night since 11 days ago. I have also just started using KV oil once 3 days ago. Hmmmm........
