Harley hair everywhere!

I live in WI, just south of Milwaukee. The 100th anniversary of Harley Davidson is going on in Milwaukee this weekend and I swear every Hog owner in the country is here on their bike right now. There is a swarm of Harley riders on every street and highway. It's a constant drone of the sound of packs of bikers or lone bikers cruising around. It is quite a commotion, but very cool. It's like a religious pilgrimage that's taking place in Milwaukee. Thousands and thousands of people. Male, female, young, old - I saw one aging biker decked out in leather and a doo-rag on his head and his shades on and then his reading glasses were poking out of his black leather vest pocket!

One of the things (I guess to be expected) is all the hair! Some people let their hair fly and that makes me wince just thinking about the painful detangling. But most seem to have their hair in a pony tail. One of the more common hairstyles I see both men and women wearing is the basic ponytail that is banded down the length every few inches. I thought I'd see more hair gloves, but I haven't seen one yet.

I'll be honest and tell you that there isn't much nice looking hair. I saw a cute guy sitting with a group of bikers at Applebee's and he had sleek, glossy looking hair banded back, but he was the only one. Everyone else's hair looks kind of, well, shall we say wind-blown and sun-bleached? Too many balding ponytails to count. But it sure is cool to see so much long hair. I just wish I could tell them all about LHC!

I rode with hubby in the truck last weekend, and saw lots of motorcycles headed that way.

The only memorable hair I saw was a blond lady wearing a black hairlacer.

The rest were windblown, sweaty & sunburned (it was like 106 in central SD where I saw them)

Did the bikers notice your hair, Honey Mane?

There is a relatively new Harley store in Racine, about a mile from where I work, and yesterday there were at least 500 bikes there. I did notice one silver haired lady with ponytail about waist length that looked very well taken care of.

I never thought of going in the store but that would THE PLACE for hair gloves and lacers. Hmm I wonder if anything will be left next week, I will have to check it out.

charlyee, I bought my hairglove at a Harley shop in Little Rock. But I'll bet you're right, they may not have any after this week!

I've been seeing hairgloves everywhere---in fact I mentioned it in a post on the FB---my first "live" sighting!

I saw my first one today. A little bitty one on a woman who was riding on the back of a motorcycle. Julie G, I think you are closer to the heart of everything than I am!
