I read in one post that it tints red (in which case I would continue, sounds good) and in another that it tints green (in which case I will switch to white vinegar). I haven't noticed a difference on me yet. So, the question is, if you are blonde, what did ACV do to the colour of your hair? Red, green, something else, no change? | | | August 31st, 2006, 09:42 PM | #2 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: Beautiful Pacific Northwest Age: 53 Posts: 1,352 Length: ?/33/TBL Type: 1b/1c/F/ii | I was using Bragg's ACV and I thought it tinted my hair orange. __________________ Deep peace of the running wave to you. Blondes here tend to use white vinegar, instead. | | | September 1st, 2006, 03:31 AM | #4 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2003 Location: BFE Posts: 7,970 Length: 18"?/36"/40" Type: 1c/2a/M/ii | ACV brought out the reddish tones in my blonde hair. I want to stay ashy so that wasn't a good thing. I always use white vinegar now. I've never had a problem with white vinegar altering my color. I find that white vinegar does all the nice things that ACV does but without adding a reddish tint. | | | September 2nd, 2006, 02:04 PM | #5 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: BC Canada Age: 30 Posts: 100 Length: 13/22/36 Type: 2c/3a/F/M/ii/iii | I love ACV rinses and I haven't noticed any change in color but I have red hair so I guess it's not noticeable. | | | September 3rd, 2006, 07:20 PM | #6 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Boring Flatland, Illinois Posts: 384 Type: 2c/3a/F/ii/iii | I have brown hair and just did my very first ACV Rinse today. I love the way my hair looks and feels today. I was wondering how often everyone ACV's??? __________________ My Hair Journey - (Porous, Colored, Fine, Curly) Don’t ever be afraid to let your Inner Goddess Show, weather it be your hair, or the style you wear. I have been doing ACV rinses after every wash for about 1 1/2 years now. Most of the blondes here use white vinegar and some people use citric acid. ETA: Since Bragg's vinegar is actually made from apples, not colored vinegar like most ACV is, that maybe why I haven't noticed a color change. | | | September 4th, 2006, 04:37 PM | #8 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Mar 2006 Age: 25 Posts: 204 Length: ??/40/48++ Type: 2c/3a/F/M/ii | I am a blonde and use ACV and haven't noticed any red-ening or darkening. __________________ "I love acting.
