Some reaching down to her knees. Her hair was a virgin color of chestnut brown...her dreads looked very healthy and clean. And the hair at her crown was a few inches long, very shiny and pretty. It didn't look pulled down by the weight at all. Simply lovely!! Dreads are not something I'd probably choose for myself, but I have to say I admire them a great deal when they are healthy and clean. And this girl's were super long. She said she'd been growing them for 13 years. She hardly looked old enough to have been doing so...it's like she must have started as a very young teen. She was a very sweet young woman too, just lovely all the way around. Anyway, just had to mention it. Cheers! | | | August 20th, 2006, 08:46 AM | #2 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jun 2005 Posts: 1,831 Length: Pixie/24.5"/44" Type: 1b/M/ii | | Re: Incredible long dreadlock sighting | | Quote: | Originally Posted by ole gray mare Dreads are not something I'd probably choose for myself, but I have to say I admire them a great deal when they are healthy and clean. | I have to agree. Dreads on me just wouldn’t work but on some people I find them very attractive. One of my study partners was blonde haired, blue eyed, and just cute as a button. She would probably smack me for saying that but its true . She had waist length dreads that were beautiful and they completely fit her style. | | | August 20th, 2006, 08:53 AM | #3 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Sep 2005 Age: 23 Posts: 882 Length: less/CLSC!/more? Type: 1a/1b/F/M/ii | I have a soft spot for dreadlocks as well and feel similarly about them as I do about long hair: when it's clean and healthy, it's a joy to see them! Ole Gray Mare, the girl you met sounded very beautiful and knee-length tresses certainly are an impressive and unusual sight, no matter what form they come in. Did you compliment her on her dreads? __________________ | | | August 20th, 2006, 11:31 AM | #4 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: austria Age: 31 Posts: 63 Length: 0"/14"/20" Type: 2a/M/ii | | Re: Incredible long dreadlock sighting | | i must admit i loooooove beautiful dreads. i'd love to have dreads myself but at the same time, i don't wanna destroy my hair. maybe i'll get dreads if i ever want to return to short hair again... knee-length dreads... i'm trying to imagine how long hear hair has to be for that.. i guess it would reach the floor if she didn't wear it dreaded.. wow. | | | August 20th, 2006, 12:57 PM | #5 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Colorado Posts: 675 Length: 20/42/60+ Type: 1a/M/ii | | Re: Incredible long dreadlock sighting | | sounds gorgeous. I keep saying the reason I don't dread is that I'd have to watch my hair shrink first! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
