Got a heating cap.....now what?

I finally got a heating cap (yes, this may not be such a big deal to those in the US, but I had to have this baby shipped over to me!).

What do you think is a good treatment to do with it? Maybe coat my hair in oil? SMT? Honey and CO? I just can't decide what to do first!!! What works especially well with extra heat on the head?

(Bearing in mind that in the past I have used a warm polar fleece hat and just my own body heat to help with my hair treatments)

I'd like to do a deep treatment to make my hair look extra nice before the weekend because DH and I are going away for our 12th wedding anniversary!

Cool Rini. I am thinking about getting one of those also. DO you mind me asking you were you got it from and how much you paid?

Re: Got a heating cap.....now what?

Mine came from a Sally's store in Chicago. My niece works right next door to one. I designed her wedding invitations for her and she asked me what I want from Sallys as a thank you (yeah, she knows me well ). It just arrived and I'm dying to try it out!!!!

Re: Got a heating cap.....now what?

Rini, I don't use mine that much (it is a plug in) and I just don't mess with it but I think the plain old SMTs work better than anything. I use Suave coconut and lots of aloe gel. WOW, it really helps my hair! I also like olive oil as a hot oil treatment. Been wanting to try a protein treatment too. Hope you like your cap!

Oh and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!! Have GREAT FUN!

Re: Got a heating cap.....now what?

I love my heat cap. Heat cap time is LHC time. Not that I need an excuse to be here . SMT works great. My hair just sucks it up. Any moisturizing deep treatment should work for you. I think the heat makes any treatment work better. It also works well if you are doing an oil treatment. Enjoy! And have a great time on your weekend!
