Extra benefits of Biotin?

I bought Biotin a couple weeks ago for my hair. I've been taking it religiously (more than the recommended dose, I figure it couldn't hurt) and low and behold, I lost 5 pounds! I haven't changed my eating habits or my activity levels, the biotin is the only thing I can think of that is new. Is this normal? I'm so excited now!

*snorts* I wish.

Took religiously for 6 months, great hair growth, great nails, still fat.

Re: Extra benefits of Biotin?

If Biotin causes weight-loss, they would have already renamed it, tripled the price on it, and made Lara Flynn Boyle the spokesmodel.

Re: Extra benefits of Biotin?

Oh, I figured it out! The biotin has made me thirstier lately so I'm drinking a lot more water. It must have been water weight. Oh well.

edited for typos
