You could try oiling it less often and see how that works. __________________ What you choose to notice is what you'll get out of life. | | | August 16th, 2003, 06:38 PM | #3 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: california Age: 39 Posts: 572 | Quote: | Originally Posted by Honey Mane Hi Monica, Maybe you don't need to oil your hair every other day? When I first started oiling I was using WAY too much. The good folks here set me straight-- the best advice I got was to take your open bottle, put your palm over it, turn the bottle upside down and back. This will leave you with a small circle of oil in your palm. Rub your palms together and then distribute it through your hair from the ends up. I find this works really well for me, and I can oil as often as I like (sometimes a couple of times a day) with no greasies. This method is a great starting point-- if you find you need more, you always can add more, a little at a time. I oil this way at least every night before bed, and during the day once in a while too. Yes, it may just be that any amount of jojoba w/the leave-in is just too much for your particular hair. Still, I might try the jojoba one more time, after you've washed any current greasiness thoroughly out. Then, what I would do is, since you have the leave in conditioner, wait until your hair is dry (maybe before bed?) to try the very small amount of oil in the way I described in my other post. If this is still too much, you might want to avoid using it straight and just try a few drops of the jojoba in your mister. HTH-- let us know how you make out! __________________ Kelli 20"/30"/30"+? 2b F-M ii chestnut brown with reddish/blonde highlights | | | August 17th, 2003, 08:42 AM | #7 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: california Age: 39 Posts: 572 | thank you tomb radiar for helping me out i usally wash my hair in the morning when i take my shower. so by bedtime most of my hair is dry as in not wet. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
