How on earth can you make nail polish last longer? and I don't mean once your nails are painted... because, of course, it chips doesn't matter what after a while.. but how to keep it from going wasted? I've noticed that nail polish tends to go bad or extremely thick after a while.. and I need to find a way to keep it well. Reason why, I've become an obsessed person with nail art...so i buy the bottles for 3 bucks a bottle just because of how thin the little brush is.. and i'd HATE to see it go to waste. x_X __________________ ~A True Meaningful Journey is a Journey for Happiness, not Perfection.~ ~We are Beautiful, in Every single way. I keep mine in a basket in the crisper! I promise it works __________________ "While the rest of the species is descended from apes, redheads are descended from cats." -Mark Twain "Love all, trust a few. I keep all mine in the closet in a covered, dark box. It keeps it out of the light and open air, even when the closet is open, which also helps it last much longer. The same environment would be in a fridge, only colder. ^_^ __________________ 1st goal: Bra Strap Length: Goal Reached! 2nd goal: Mid-back 3rd goal: Waist length | | | July 5th, 2006, 06:07 PM | #4 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: May 2006 Location: Where the Wind Comes Sweeping Down the Plain Age: 55 Posts: 1,653 Length: 18"/22.5"/Term Type: 2b/2c/M/ii | You can get nail polish thinner that will make a bottle of goopy polish like brand new. __________________ "The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing." - Albert Einstein - | | | July 7th, 2006, 05:37 PM | #5 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: California Age: 40 Posts: 1,161 Length: 25/33.25/35.5 Type: 2c/3a/F/M/ii | sorry there is no good way to thin polish when it starts to thicken. Most polishes start to thicken after about 2 years. Polish thinner, not polish remover, can help. But it only works for a short time. I find that after I thin my polish it chips much faster. I don't understand why. | | | July 10th, 2006, 01:13 PM | #6 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: May 2006 Location: Hawaii Posts: 323 Length: ??/38/?? Mine starts to thicken in a couple of months! Maybe it's just the climate, but still . . . . | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
