Type: 3b/F/M/ii | While I was lurking around here, I decided to post a hair update. There really will be a pic added soon. I recently met someone from here, who may eventually post about meeting me. hehe... I had her take pics of my hair to post here. My hair, if you pull the curls straight, is BSL now. For those of you who don't know, I had classic length hair (thigh length before it started falling out b/c of my illness) and lost it to chemotherapy. I started having hair poke out of my scalp around December of 2003. I have taken very good care of it and still have not had to start trimming. It came back in looking kind of blonde, but now it is a lot darker than my pre-chemo hair. I'm starting to get the really light blonde hairs again, so it may look kind of streaked like it did before. It was even long enough to have a braid done at the ren faire! I'll have to post a pic of that when I add the other pic. When my hair starts getting long enough that I get all excited about it again, I'll probably post more often. It is almost to that point. I was excited about the braid and when I reached back to pull the curls strait and could feel that it is to my bra strap. I promise that pics will happen as soon as I get the email. Peace, -Kari __________________ pre-chemo hair: (cropped and resized version of a picture taken by Beatnik Sept 2001) 2cMii 42" honey-blonde --------------------- current hair: (cropped version of a picture taken by Dancingbarefoot May 2007) 3bF/Mii 22" medium brown | | | June 28th, 2006, 03:19 PM | #2 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Somewhere, over the rainbow... I'm glad your well and that your hair is growing out again. I have a friend who lost all her hair because of chemo and her husband shaved his head to keep her company. __________________ Starting Over, May 2007 | | | June 28th, 2006, 04:12 PM | #5 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: NJ, USA Age: 28 Posts: 4,308 Length: ?/47"/? I have fuzz all over my head right now with what I call a 5 O'clock shadow! My hair was also past my waist when I cut it in steps and then eventually shaved it off so when it fell out it wouldnt be as traumatic. I miss my curls and I am ready for them to come back. I cant wait to see your pictures. | | | June 28th, 2006, 05:41 PM | #8 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Nov 2003 Location: Arkansas Age: 37 Posts: 796 Type: 1a/F/ii | Oh, so glad to hear you're doing well. I wonder how she's been doing." (I can't remember names half as well as I recall icons.) Apparently, you're nice and hairy once again. :-) Good to see you. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
