Re: hair color

Well, most people here will probably tell you that your natural hair color is a good compliment to your skin and features. You can look at your coloring and skin type (clinique has a good quick way to evaluate this and suggest products https://www.clinique.com/templates/u...in_report.tmpl here) and then look at warmer hair colors (chestnut, red, strawberry blonde) or cooler (black, brunette, ash blonde) depending on your coloring. As far as your features are concerned, you can style hair depending on your face shape (i.e. if your face is round try long layers and a bit of lift at the top of the head to create length, if your face is long shorter layers like long bangs swept to the side, with more fullness at the sides of the face). There's plenty of more beauty-related websites online for lots of this stuff. I did a google search for warm or cool coloring (usually a good place to start) and got tons of results.

Re: hair color

I'm so bad at this, myself. Try picking a color family (warm or cool) and using a temporary, GENTLE color, then take pics of yourself. Try this with one of each (a warm--yellow/red--and a cool, like an ash--but wait until ALL the temp. color is gone between them--wait until you're sure!!!). Look at the pics honestly. Then you can tell your color family.

Re: hair color

I read a great article once on choosing hair color, and it advised going back in time to old photographs of you when you were a child. The idea is that the hair color you were born with is the one that is best for your skin tone and eye color. In each case study in the article, the women went back to their original color when they were 10 or 12 years old. And their hair looked fantastic! (these were all women who were greying, so they wanted to use color).
