We'll pull through, somehow. Post here to rant or take a break or whatever. College or high school - finals aren't easy on anyone. I start mine on the third. I think my finals will be fine. Lots of essay tests, though. My hand always starts to hurt by the end. I get so into writing that I hold the pen/pencil more and more tightly as the test progresses. I have my last final (ever) on Wednesday. I have really bad senioritis, but at least I'll graduate! Good luck everybody - I'm sending study vibes to you all! | | | May 1st, 2006, 07:56 PM | #4 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: May 2005 Location: Florida, USA Age: 27 Posts: 695 Length: 31''/38''/40 CL Type: 2b/F/M/ii | I am so happy! I just finished my last final last week on Thursday. OHHHH!!! Yeah! This has been a difficult month for me. | | | May 1st, 2006, 08:10 PM | #5 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Dallas, TX Age: 49 Posts: 835 Length: pixie/hip/freak Type: 1c/F/M/ii | Yep, I'm winding up the semester with only one class instead of the usual two, but my last lab practical is tomorrow night, then final exam next week. Easier class than it ought to have been, so I've been doing it an injustice by ducking my studies quite a bit. Good luck, everyone! | | | May 1st, 2006, 08:12 PM | #6 | | Administrator Join Date: Feb 2003 Location: Alaska Age: 35 Posts: 12,683 Length: 2"/62"/65" Type: 2b/2c/F/M/iii | Break a leg, everyone! I only have research papers this semester. In some ways, I'm wishing I had tests. At least those don't eat up so much time. I keep stopping in here for a break, but I need to get busy. Must unplug the internet, I guess. __________________ | | | May 1st, 2006, 08:12 PM | #7 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Washington state Age: 28 Posts: 1,823 | Good luck to everyone! My finals are in two weeks. But I only have one actual test. Huge final projects in all my other classes! __________________ Avatar: Veiled and Masked Dancer, Hellenistic bronze statuette | | | May 1st, 2006, 08:38 PM | #8 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Eastern Kentucky Age: 30 Posts: 1,871 Length: 20in/36in/36in Type: 2a/M/ii | My finals are next week, I am so close to being done with undergrad that I can taste it! But this one is dragging. I honestly don't have anything more to say on the subject (or at least, the literature hasn't!). I already have 49 references, how much more comprehensive can a review get, especially when I know I won't be graded on its quality? Don't make me resort to fluff! ... aah, I almost feel better! I'm sending good vibes to those who have exams... And lots of persistence to those stuck in a situation similar to mine. __________________ Woolly, wurly, and proud. I like it. Just going by the name, I think that's describing exactly what I'm having. I only have one exam left, tomorrow. For now, anyway. Still have another 7 coming up over the next 7 months or so, but no more concentrated insanity. Study well, all, and good luck with your exams! | | | May 2nd, 2006, 01:28 AM | #11 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Derbyshire, UK Age: 27 Posts: 207 Length: 18"/32"/36" Type: 1a/1b/F/M/ii | Ive got one practical and 3 paper exams starting in 10 days for papers, practicals on thursday, eeeek! They were okay as my coursework counted for a lot of my degree grade, so the pressure was taken off a bit. I stupidly began an accelerated degree for graduates this year and currently have exams which count towards my final grade. Again. For the last seven years I've been doing exams at this time of year, I'm fed up of it now. In fact I should be in exam right now, but I walked out as I was feeling sick. I went and got a doctor's certificate, so hopefully I won't have to resit them all, just the one I missed today (for law they like you to do them all in one sitting). I hope it's alright because I've never left or missed an exam before, not even for a toilet break! I'm usually such a good girl. A combination of illness, medication, nerves, and lack of sleep got me unfortunately. | | | May 2nd, 2006, 02:58 AM | #13 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jun 2005 Posts: 1,831 Length: Pixie/24.5"/44" Type: 1b/M/ii | | | | May 2nd, 2006, 03:03 AM | #14 | | Administrator Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: East Coast, USA Posts: 5,327 Type: 2c/M/ii | Good luck everyone! | | | May 2nd, 2006, 03:35 AM | #15 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Why? Age: 27 Posts: 1,279 Length: 2/23/? Type: 2b/M/ii | I am a little lucky I have 2 finals during dead week and 2 next week so it's spread out. Ooooo ...oooo and 3 of the classes have allowed cheat sheets because there are too many formulas to remember. I have an engineering economics final tonight where I need a miracle to get an A in the course. Let's just say I need to make a 100% on the final and the teacher might be curving it a few points so that would help me. I'm passing but I have come too far to get a B. Then again I will just be happy that I no longer have to deal with this "professor". I am going to write a complaint about him. I know other people are as well. Tomorrow I have a statistics final...I mean "3rd exam". The teacher for some reason gets away with no final even though we have no huge project. I'm going to miss that professor, he was funny without meaning to be...wait I have a class with him next semester. Hahaha! Then I'm not going to worry about my finals next week (statics, and calculus 4). They are easy classes to study for and my statics professor is trying to make it easy so that people actually pass his course. I think he is too easy with his exams but then again the class average is a D and I have an A. Same with calculus 4. Plus those are both on Thursday and Friday of finals week and I have the whole week to study. I'm actually worried about my finals for next fall. I have a class with a teacher who got the "bloody paper" award (so much red markings on papers that it looks like it's bleeding) and got the "grim reaper" award...she pretty much gets them every year. I know she has 7 of the grim reaper awards. I talked with her and she seems like a nice person but I'm scared to take her class. I mean people have said a completely correct answer will be counted as wrong at times. Anyway, good luck everyone! Study like crazy and remember that the semester is just about over! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
