The problem is I have absolutely no idea how to do it! Any wise words for me? Cheers, Lillian. | | | April 25th, 2006, 04:56 AM | #2 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Canada Age: 54 Posts: 6,960 Length: 14/20+/BSL Type: 2c/3a/M/C/iii | If you can find the link to Snowymoon's hair massage technique, it's very helpful. I thought I had it and originally posted here but it wasn't there any more, I'll try to find it for you. It's a great way to stimulate your scalp and follicles and to gently loosen scalp buildup. I have a very stubborn center part so I work first on one side of the part and then the other and I just do a gentle zig zaz motion going with the hair down the length of my scalp. When I get to the back I take both hands and do two tiny zig zag trails down the back of my scalp and then finally I park the fingers of both hands (one on each side of head) and hold them firmly against the skin and move the entire scalp skin back and forth (this can cause soreness so just do it for a few strokes). Also make sure to run a finger back and forth your part to make sure that gets stimulated too. The aforementioned techniques are great as well, my part just makes those techniques kind of hard. | | | April 25th, 2006, 03:59 PM | #7 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Kentucky Age: 29 Posts: 1,969 Length: 14.5/27/42 Type: 2c/3a/M/iii | Really its not all that complicated... I don't follow any set way or pattern. I just masasge my scalp with the pads of my fingers using small circular finger movement and make some sort of attempt to not miss spots. It feels nice. __________________ "A painter paints pictures on canvas but musicians paint their pictures on silence." - Leopold Stokowski My Hair Journal, My Photo Journal | | | April 25th, 2006, 04:08 PM | #8 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Feb 2006 Posts: 45 Type: 4a/M/C/iii | You could also buy a head massager they're inexpensive, I have one and it works very well. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
