I bought the red and I am thinking about exchanging it. Why? Because I got home and realized that the purse will not go with any of my dressier things and half my wardrobe is red because of my school's colors. In fact it is my school's colors. I do not want to bother with having it clash with half my stuff. I think I will return it later today and get teh light brown. It is so cute and was 50% off!!! I only paid $40 for it out of my own money because of the fact that I had a gift card that needed to be spent. My mom flipped out about spending that much on a purse but I explained it was 50% off and I bought more than half with a gift card that I got for x-mas. But check it out...I am going to get that little one later..same color and same size. Red now that I get home I am regretting. http://tinyurl.com/8j2jf But then again the red is so pretty!...what to do. That color will go with EVERYthing and if you are looking for a versatile purse then that is the one to go with. I think it'd work for dressing up or down. __________________ "Having to test deep conditioners is a lot like having to test chocolates." ~Flaxen "It must be nice to always have company, even if it is yourself." ~Morticia | | | February 16th, 2006, 11:36 AM | #3 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Why? I was unable to find any purses like that anywhere else though. | | | February 16th, 2006, 11:40 AM | #4 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: May 2005 Location: Iowa Age: 24 Posts: 1,566 Length: 30?/31/38 Type: 1a/F/M/ii | | Re: adorable purse! but... | | I have the same problem. If I buy one thing, get home, and wish I'd bought the other. If I buy the other, I want the one I didn't get. I don't see the red one, but if you'll get the most use out of the light brown, go for it! | | | February 16th, 2006, 11:45 AM | #5 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Why? I love red and I think the tan looks like a mom purse -- as in, something my mom would buy. I need to avoid that but I don't see why it should have any bearing on your personal decision. If you like the tan, go for the tan. You're the one who'll be carrying it around all the time. Go with what feels right to you. | | | February 16th, 2006, 12:06 PM | #7 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jan 2006 Posts: 2,088 Length: pixie/25/?? Red would look great with black, navy, white, grey, denims, khaki ... not much it wouldn't look good with IMO, except maybe pink, or citrussy lime, orange or yellow - colours that don't appeal to me anyway. Dark red is classic without being boring! But hey, it's down to you in the end ... | | | February 16th, 2006, 12:11 PM | #8 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Georgia, USA Age: 43 Posts: 2,775 Length: waist/hip/??? I do this too when I go shopping-- get home and then be like "well, maybe I shoulda gotten that other one...." I didn't see the crimson, and I really don't care for the tan too much. The black is nice. Just use the red one with all your non-red stuff so it won't clash. | | | February 16th, 2006, 12:34 PM | #9 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Why? I love chocolate and would have grabbed it up but they had 1 red left and 3 of the tan. The were on clearance and that was all they had left. Now if I wanted the other styles then I could have gotten some different colors. But those others were huge! Too big for me and my needs. Plus they would have made me look funny...itty bitty stick-ish me carrying around a bag way to big for me...not good! Sorry for teh lack of makeup in my photo. I just didn't feel like looking pretty. Just showing off my purse and the clash that I would face with the color. She said it really went with my skin tone and hair. And that image does nothing for the tan purse on the dillard's website. It's actually a lot prettier. But not as pretty as the red one...I love teh red one but the tan one I will actually be able to wear with more of my wardobe. But the tan will also get dirtier quicker. Both are fairly classic colours, so it's not as if you've got something lime green that will look dated quickly and you will soon get fed up with. I am a ditherer too! | | | February 16th, 2006, 03:49 PM | #13 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Mar 2003 Location: Canada Posts: 3,467 Length: 19.5/26?/?? Whats teh use of having a purse that clashes with half your wardobe? And the tan will be easier to dress down and up. But my poor mom was upset I bought a new purse. I just got one for x-mas from her. It was a big black studded hobo. Real cute but at times I feel like I need a more structured purse. Then I also have a small chocolate purse, but that is way too small to use anymore. I keep it for some reason though. I will still use the black hobo until I get sick of it (its comfy to wear but everything in it gets shuffled around). I'll probably still use it when I go to work, and when I wear something that needs a purse that isn't as dressy. Or just a slouchy day. LOL! My mom thinks its a little weird to switch purses...but I do not. What do you guys think? I mean you wear different shoes! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
