The hope is that it will become THE place for henna discussion, keeping a lot of useful information in one convenient place. NOTE: You're still welcome to post henna-related threads in the hair products forum (i.e., you're not restricted to posting only here). ETA: If you find this long thread difficult to navigate, consider using the "search this thread" feature at the top right of the thread. It works, honest. We’ve chosen to provide links to earlier threads instead of merging them, because it would be difficult to follow along after the merge (you wouldn’t know which question went with which topic, for example). So, please use this thread as your jumping-off point for TLHC henna information. Thanks! Many thanks to Flaxen, ember_wife, and Koala Kim for their tireless assistance! I could not have assembled these links without them. What a wonderful idea! I can imagine it was a LOT of work putting it all together, but what you've done will sure make it easier for those of us seeking help with those things Henna ... and will serve to add yet another wonderful dimension to this already multi-faceted LHC site! :-) Happily (and soon to be Henna'd), Catherine | | | December 9th, 2005, 05:44 PM | #10 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Mar 2004 Location: near the Tropic of Cracker Age: 40 Posts: 538 Length: 13.5/21/52 Type: 1b/M/ii | | Re: THE Henna Thread (please post all henna-related content here) | | Hey, how fun! dancingbarefoot, you did a fabulous job of putting this all together! Or this is just a place to look , then post questions we have in the Mane or other forum? I am fairly new so not sure. __________________ Sing your Song, Dance Your Dance, Follow Your Bliss. The point is to have one place for the henna experts to give advice, and the henna users to get advice. And perhaps avoid duplication - the same question asked several times, because no one can keep track of the many henna threads going. In the same way that the "LHC Cuppers" thread has become a central resource for all things cup related, hopefully this can be a one-stop shop for henna advice and information. More useful than just the sum of its parts, because it is comprehensive. | | | December 10th, 2005, 08:09 PM | #14 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: Tasmania, Australia Age: 43 Posts: 5,217 Length: 22.5/32/34 Type: 2b/M/iii | | Re: THE Henna Thread (please post all henna-related content here) | | Thank you for that Ursula. __________________ Sing your Song, Dance Your Dance, Follow Your Bliss. Type: 2c/3a/M/C/ii/iii | | Re: THE Henna Thread (please post all henna-related content here) | | Well I have a henna question. I ordered henna samples from Catherine. I did one strand test, let the dye release only for about 3 hours cuz I got impatient. Let the hair sit in the blob only for about an hour. It still dyed the hair. I tried again, adding amla and hibiscus to it. I had to let it sit overnight, and through part of the day due to work. Came home, left the hair in it almost two hours and IT DIDN'T CHANGE THE COLOR. At all!! What happened? For the record, I do NOT have any idea how much of each thing was used, and I used ACV for both. So...did it sit too long? Is hibiscus evil? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | | All times are GMT -9.
