I can't get the site to open for me and it appears that my photos aren't loading. Can anyone see my siggy? I also can't see other peoples' photos that are hosted on Photobucket. I think I have, for some weird reason, been banned. It fits... Of course, since the site won't open (which is a sign of being banned), I can't email them to ask WHY. Hoping I'm wrong, but if anyone can see my siggy, please let me know. If I've been banned, they've deleted all my photos. If this is a glitch, they should still be there even if I can't see them. Sigh. | | | October 6th, 2005, 07:25 PM | #2 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jun 2004 Posts: 2,705 Length: 14/37/42 Type: 1b/F/iii | I can see your sig and I just checked my photobucket account and it seems to be working. Can you see my sig, its photobucket? | | | October 6th, 2005, 07:26 PM | #3 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: In the Pearl of the Orient Age: 32 Posts: 2,804 Length: less/43"/more Type: 2a/C/ii | I can see your sig too. I am nearly computer illiterate. __________________ April 30, 2007 | | | October 6th, 2005, 07:29 PM | #5 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: In the shadow of the Cascades Posts: 1,369 Length: 37/48/50 Type: 2a/F/M/iii | Thanks, gals! I cannot see my sig or either or yours, but you can see mine? At least it's sounding more like a glitch and not deletion. I have a buddy crawling over their website looking for a contact email as I type. I can't even open the site! ~Kleis, getting tired of little boxes with x's in them. | | | October 6th, 2005, 07:29 PM | #6 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Trapped in a Book Age: 43 Posts: 1,201 Length: ?/36/42 Type: 2c/M/ii | YES! I've had problems for 2 days. Couldn't see anyones siggies or other photos. I think it may have fixed itself now for me. Good thing too... I was going through long-hair-photo-withdrawal. jes | | | October 6th, 2005, 07:30 PM | #7 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: In the shadow of the Cascades Posts: 1,369 Length: 37/48/50 Type: 2a/F/M/iii | Quote: | Originally Posted by spidermom I can't get doodly out of Photobucket. All those photos on my journal... | | | October 6th, 2005, 07:31 PM | #8 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: In the shadow of the Cascades Posts: 1,369 Length: 37/48/50 Type: 2a/F/M/iii | Quote: | Originally Posted by Jessica Trapp YES! You, too! I'm NOT all alone in this cold, cruel photo-less world? | | | October 6th, 2005, 07:33 PM | #9 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jun 2004 Posts: 2,705 Length: 14/37/42 Type: 1b/F/iii | This is posted on their blog, could it be the problem: Quote: | Originally Posted by Photobuckets Blog October 06, 2005 Photobucket Network Update If you didn't know, yesterday two Tier 1 providers got into a feud and cut off traffic to eachothers network. Rather than sit back and wait for it to all get sorted out, we have taken some drastic steps to work towards our own resolution. - Overnighted some additional network equipment as of yesterday - Moved our dns over to Ultradns (which is used by amazon, myspace, etc) . This gives us some flexibility on how we handle traffic from the two networks. - Working frantically on bringing up another carrier so we can start pushing 'non-resolvable' traffic that direction. We believe this will solve many or all of the issues regardless of what happens with Cogent and Level 3. Thanks for understanding, Photobucket got the worst of a bad situation that is totally out of our control. Alex

Finally, an explanation! I just panicked, because I registered with Imageshack to get me through the interim and they said that when they ban users you can't get to their site and your photos get deleted. It seemed to fit. Phew. Time to get a cup of tea and chill out. | | | October 6th, 2005, 07:40 PM | #12 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: In the shadow of the Cascades Posts: 1,369 Length: 37/48/50 Type: 2a/F/M/iii | Quote: | Originally Posted by Jessica Trapp You are not alone. I was unable to get into it yesterday. | Apparently, I'm very photo-insecure, because I was SURE I'd been banned. (But I couldn't figure out why. I must have some sort of secret persecution complex. I don't even have any p0rn on there--although I stole a cartoon of a beaver from the web once. An animal beaver. You know, with buck teeth and a tail. Oh, gods...I need to shut up now.) | | | October 6th, 2005, 07:41 PM | #13 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Trapped in a Book Age: 43 Posts: 1,201 Length: ?/36/42 Type: 2c/M/ii | Tea sounds nice. Since I'm on an emergency lose-10-pounds-in-2-days diet, I'm not drinking wine tonight. Here, have a cookie and we'll chill together: jes | | | October 6th, 2005, 07:50 PM | #14 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: In the shadow of the Cascades Posts: 1,369 Length: 37/48/50 Type: 2a/F/M/iii | Quote: | Originally Posted by Jessica Trapp Tea sounds nice.
