Finally I get it; I think I may have been doing something like a figure 8, but I think it was goofy, more like a figure 6! | | | June 12th, 2005, 10:49 PM | #17 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: May 2005 Location: North Rhine-Westphalia Age: 37 Posts: 120 Length: 11/33,9/... Type: 1a/M/ii | I thank you all for the praise. I have joy in it to make guidances. Next time I will make a Chinese bun instruction. @ Spunkymonki87: I have very strong layers, however the shortest are meanwhile 19.7 inches long, I never had problems to make buns with layers. Until February the difference was even still 10.2 inches. Somehow I never managed to do a proper 8-bun, but this is going to work, I can feel it! | | | June 13th, 2005, 06:19 AM | #19 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: May 2005 Location: Stockholm Age: 32 Posts: 571 Length: 14"/42"/55" Type: 1a/F/M/ii | thanks for the instructions, I will try it out soon | | | June 13th, 2005, 06:26 AM | #20 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: May 2005 Posts: 202 Type: 1a/F/i | Wow,that is great, thank you so much!! You're hair is so pretty and shiney. I've been trying to do a fig 8 but my ends from my one layer keep sticking out. It's very frustrating! It should be plenty long enough to do,it's BSL. I'll keep on practicing __________________ Jenn A | | | June 13th, 2005, 05:53 PM | #21 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: May 2005 Location: Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas Age: 71 Posts: 258 Length: 3 in/5 in/5 in Type: 1a/F/i | Re: Figure 8 bun | | Hi Nerys, Found this message after reading your one on the Chinese Bun. Again thanks for the step by step instructions. Now I have two buns to practice on with my model. That should keep me busy this week. It's probably too short now, even without the layers, but can it ever be possible without little hairs sticking out of the thing? | i've found that making a gloss gel variation with aloe vera and shea gives a very neat result on braids, buns .. shea is just difficult to remove and you'll have to wash it out with shampoo (tried acv but that didn't work on me). __________________ Henna&Indigo'd (naturally ash dark blonde/light brown) styg's pix | | | June 18th, 2006, 07:07 PM | #23 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Snoozing in a Class Age: 24 Posts: 800 Length: 18/39.25/40 Type: 3a/F/ii/iii | Where did the picture instructions go?
