Sure enough, the hair on the back of my head was tangled and rough. Arrrrgh! I've gotten spoiled by the satin; since using it my hair hasn't tangled much at all in the night. So if you're hesitating to get a satin pillowcase, my advice is Don't! Working those tangles out this morning nearly broke my heart. | | | June 2nd, 2005, 10:13 AM | #2 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jul 2004 Posts: 1,356 | | Re: Proof that Satin Pillowcases Work | | I know!I've noticed the difference too.I don't use satin though.I use a large piece of some other type of material that lets my hair slide around and cover my pillow with it.Cotton seems too scratchy.Bleah! | | | June 2nd, 2005, 10:20 AM | #3 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2005 Age: 42 Posts: 2,109 Length: 17.5?/23/30? MaryH, I've found that putting a flannel or jersey pillowcase under the satin one means that it doesn't slide off during the night. | | | June 2nd, 2005, 10:25 AM | #4 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: May 2004 Location: Toronto Age: 58 Posts: 3,648 Length: 23.5/32/35 Type: 2c/M/i/ii | | Re: Proof that Satin Pillowcases Work | | it's like hte princess and the pea. i don't know how i ever slept on those scratchy cotton cases before..... __________________ Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach a person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks. Gives me just enough heighth and doesn't slide all over. Now if I could just get in the habit of not using my cotton blanket as a pillow while I'm sleeping. I may just have to break down and get a satin comforter too. __________________ Erynn "But there shall not an hair of your head perish." Now I can see why you're a guru....I was wondering how to prevent this from happening again. I'll give it a try. The Princess and the Pea analogy went through my mind as I was writing the thread. People might think we're crazy, yes? Before LHC, if anyone had told me I'd be fretting about a pillowcase and tangles on the back of my head I'd have said they were cuckoo. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
