So, what in your opinion would be a good name/abbreviation for combination of shampoo bar and vinegar rinse? And while we're at it, it would be nice to get an abbreviation for shampoo bar only -method ? SB+V SBV = shampoo bar + vinegar SACV= shampoo bar + ACV SBO= shampoo bar only I'm getting tired to having always to write a description of my whole routine when someone asks | | | May 15th, 2005, 03:26 AM | #2 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Buffalo, NY Age: 40 Posts: 6,307 Length: 32/39/? SACV suggests any old shampoo, and I think that the fact that the shampoo is a soap-based bar, rather than detergent, is the most important aspect of your routine. The exact variety of vinegar is less important - ACV is the most common vinegar for hair use, so it is implied, and technically, almost any vinegar can neutralize the soap. | | | May 15th, 2005, 03:32 AM | #3 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Somewhere, over the rainbow... Also, the SBO makes sense to me, for that technique. | | | May 15th, 2005, 08:14 AM | #4 | | Moderator Join Date: Feb 2003 Location: Central Tejas Age: 49 Posts: 12,727 Type: 2b/2c/F/i | | Re: I need a nice abbreviation... | | How about SBVR (the R being for rinse)? I like it! | | | May 15th, 2005, 02:03 PM | #5 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: A Beach near San Diego Age: 59 Posts: 1,649 Length: 20"/40"/42" Type: 2a/F/M/i/ii | | Re: I need a nice abbreviation... | | I think SB-ACV would be great and easy to understand. | | | May 15th, 2005, 03:05 PM | #6 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Desert bits of WA Age: 31 Posts: 1,261 Length: 31/44.25/47+ Type: 1a/F/i/ii | | Re: I need a nice abbreviation... | | I like SBV. It's short and makes sense without thinking too much about it. And I also think SBO works good for shampoo bar only. __________________ Clickable! From now on... In my posts: SBO= shampoo bar only SBV= shampoo bar + vinegar rinse Both SBV and SBVR got two votes, so I chose the shorter one. | | | May 16th, 2005, 11:48 PM | #9 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Sydney, Australia Age: 39 Posts: 89 Length: 1/28/35 Type: 2b/2c/F/M/ii | | Re: I need a nice abbreviation... | | Quote: | Originally Posted by Elbereth Thanks for your input!
