I just put the Red Rose on it seems ok . I am so fond of the shea butter that's my problem

Thanks a lot Alley cat! Maybe I'll just skip the butters for now. I wouldn't need it with summer approaching anyway. Besides I have about a million tubs of the body shop body butter (my favourites!)
And I think I will leave the lavender oatmeal spice soap for now as my face is really itchy and I seem to be developing a rash. My face is not as smooth as when I was using the goatmilk honey oatmeal or any of the others actually. I can't wait for my chamomile & calendula to cure, my poor face is in desperate need of it!

I may give my other LOS bars to my mum, her skin LOVES it, wich is funny because she has very sensitive skin! I'm so sad to part with my CV soap :o( Maybe I'll put it up here for swap?
Thanks again!

Re: Chagrin Valley Shampoo Bars and Soap

I made my first batch of soap today!! Yay!!! The first one was a goat milk & honey one with clove EO and the other was a simple olive & shea butter soap with lavender and sweet orange EO!! I'm finished now and I've insulated them. Wish me luck, hope they turn out well!
Yay!!!

Oh well you can always try them in the future hey, six months isn't long
You could get samples then and see what you like what one likes isn't necessarily what another likes
Hmm itchy and a rash does sound like an allergy I would leave it alone that's funny if you used it before with no problem.
Actually I like the lavender oatmeal spice one it's nice.

Re: Chagrin Valley Shampoo Bars and Soap

Laughs, count on us CV-junkies to jump on it!

ETA: I forgot to comment on the "summer sunshine" shampoo bar. I have been using the sample for the last 5 or 6 washes, and it works very very good, leaving my hair nearly as soft as the extra-honey-beer-egg bar. So far, it is number two in the shampoo bars, the lavender-spice and citrus-chamomilla being 3 and 4 ex-aequo, and babbassu-marshmellow and mud-clay 5 and 6 ex-aequo.

Re: Chagrin Valley Shampoo Bars and Soap

hi everyone! LHC newbie here - I plan on digging through this thread more tomorrow, but can anyone recommend a favorite for fine, thin hair? I have never ordered before, but Ida is 20 minutes away from me so I just HAVE to - lol.
Thanks!

Oh you lucky duck!! Imagine living that close to Ida!! If I was that close to her she'd probably have a restraining order aginst me by now!! LOL!!

As for a shampoo recommendation I think it depends on what benefit you're looking for. If you want something that leaves your hair fresh and clean and not weighed down the citrus chamomile or summer sunshine are great (especially for this time of the year). If, on the other hand, you're looking for something to boost your hair and give it lots of body the honey beer & egg shampoo is perfect for you! Nettle helps with hair growth and neem is great for dandruff. I suggest ordering a bunch of samples and experimenting which is just fun fun fun!!! You can also try the soaps as shampoos too! I use the honey butter soap as a shampoo for my dry coarse hair with great results! Try em all!! LOL!!!

Welcome to the board!! :o)
