Shorty's scalp treat

I mixed this up this morning and really liked it:

2 T conditioner (M&H)
2 t fresh squeezed aloe vera juice
2 drops rosemary EO

Measures are approximate as I didn't really measure anything. For me, this makes enough to do really work it into my scalp and still get all the legth nice and coated for my CO wash. For those with longer hair, you could just use conditioner straight from the bottle to get the length after using this mix up on the scalp, or mix up a larger batch. I'll bet a couple drops of peppermint EO would make it nice and tingly, but I don't have any yet. I don't see why you couldn't substitute aloe gel or store-bought juice for the fresh-squeezed. I just have a plant on hand with some leaves ready to use.

This was inspired by Snowy's Deep Moisture Treatment. I used it as a CO, really massaging it in to the scalp, then running it through to the ends, and throwing the whole thing into a shower cap for about 10 minutes. After a thorough rinse, I was clean and felt like I'd done something a little nice for my scalp. One of my fav things about CO is tossing in an extra ingredient to suit my needs. A little honey if my hair seems dry on wash days. A dash of bakingsoda if I feel like a sweaty mess. Honey and aloe for a DT. Lemon juice to get out styling products. You get the idea. It's so fun to play with.

Re: Shorty's scalp treat

Thanks Shorty!
I have been thinking about tweaking Snowy's recipe. While honey does make my hair shinier, it also has a tendency to make it flyaway.
I never thought to do it as a CO! <wheels are spinning in KK's head...>
