I'll bookmark the link so I can try it when my hair is a bit longer. Or I can try it now, get frustrated and try again later | | | February 11th, 2005, 02:49 AM | #4 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Feb 2003 Location: PA Age: 42 Posts: 570 Length: 22/34/?? I wondered if it was some kind of a knotted bun. I'm going to try it. I'm ready for a new bun variation. | | | February 11th, 2005, 05:54 AM | #6 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: frozen tundra Age: 41 Posts: 53 Type: 1a/1b/M/ii/iii | | Re: my avatar up-do instructions | | WOW, thank you SO much for posting the instructions! I love your hair and can't wait to do this when my hair is (much) longer. I got the idea from Twitch and tweaked it a little on accident I forgot to mention that sometimes you might need to use a hairpin or two to secure the very ends and keep the loop from pulling out. Sometimes, like today, my hair seems to be 'slicker' than usual and it likes to come undone unless I use a hairpin to anchor the whole thing. | | | February 11th, 2005, 03:03 PM | #9 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2003 Location: BFE Posts: 7,970 Length: 18"?/36"/40" Type: 1c/2a/M/ii | | Re: my avatar up-do instructions | | Quote: | Originally Posted by Tiffanie Glad you all like the bun, but I can't take all the credit. Ok and maybe not! Anyways........I got inspired today when my hair was almost dry. My first try on your bun was a nice bun but it was the round donut kind. I didn't get the loop just right. I came home and tried it again and .....Viola!! A Tiffanie bun! I am on Thank you for posting such good instructions. | | | February 11th, 2005, 03:55 PM | #10 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,560 Length: 32/37/65 | | Re: my avatar up-do instructions | | Thanks Tiffanie. Thanks a zillion for the heads up. I won't be able to make this bun for a very long time, but I definitely will as soon as I have enough length. Hugs again!!!! Thanks for the instructions. Unfortunately, I tried and failed at it. My hair is not long enough, or too thick. You could do TWO of the buns with all that length!! Your hair IS a lot thicker than mine, too. Meg & Silverlady, you are most welcome. I hope you find success with it It DOES take longer hair. I just trimmed about 2 inches last weekend, and now this style is a little less secure, the bottom tail keeps jumping out | | | February 12th, 2005, 11:50 AM | #15 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Aug 2004 Age: 30 Posts: 2,023 Type: 2c/M/C/iii | | Re: my avatar up-do instructions | | It'S such a cool bun but I couldn't do it too because of length defficiency Oh and I broke one of my hairsticks LoL __________________ journal thigh length | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
