Fun with fake hair III

I’ve already done Fun with fake hair and more fun with fake hair so here is Fun with fake hair III

Now, this is the perfect example of why you shouldn’t judge your mail by the envelope and just throw it on your table and forget about it all day: Even the most boring envelope could contain your latest buy!

My latest buy is two sets of clip on fake hair. 6 cm/2,4 inches wide and circa 17 cm /6,7 inches long. The colour is a little darker than mine, but a pretty decent match. It’s a lot wavier though, but I guess some coconut oil will weigh it down

The last time I bought some fake hair, it was more or less annoying to work with… strange structure and only suitable to colourful and playful dos. This time I wanted something that could be dyed to get the right colour, so… human hair! I double checked and made sure I got something not made in USA so I didn’t end up with some well-meaning but misinformed person’s donation. At "least" I know this was cut of for profit and not a bunch of lies about suffering children

I played around with it tonight and came up with a few things

A variation of my high buns held with each a claw and with the fake hair as “layers” around my face:

This is what it looks like in the front:

I tried to make it blend in but it’s pretty difficult. My guess is I have to do it like sort of a half up, where I first put the bottom part up, clip the fake hair on and then tries to cover it with the top parts. I will have to experiment with that later. For tonight, I just used a few bobby pins once in a while

A “growing out layers” ponytail with some of the fake hair clipped back (With claws that matches my sweater none the less! Wanna see something crazy? *grin*)

Next, I tried a simple cinnamon bun with some ends hanging loose around it:

First I made a ponytail and clipped the fake hair around it, and then I pushed it up to keep it out of the way, twisted the bun, secured it with a sparkly fakkarre and then let the ends fall around the bun

Without anything else than the fakkarre to secure it, the bun bee-butted a little too much for my liking

Re: Fun with fake hair III

Part two:

Finally, I clipped them on as bangs, made two braids and covered with a bandanna
This is my favourite, it looks nice and sort of romantic with the loose waves

It’s the most successful thing I’ve done with it. When you can’t see the exact place they begin, it looks a lot more natural. I might wear this a lot in the summer!

Re: Fun with fake hair III

That looks like a lot of fun. I like that last one a lot. What a great way to give yourself the look of bangs without really cutting them (and then promptly growing them back out. )

Re: Fun with fake hair III

Looks like a perfect color and texture match to me. You could also set it in pincurls, and when you took it down, you'd have tendrils around your face.

They match your color really nice. They look great. I agree with Snow White. They're a great way to try out bangs without making a commitment. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Fun with fake hair III

It looks great Igor! Once I considered buying some fake hair, just so I can see what I would look like with really long or or big hair

Woo! That *is* fun!!! You're right, the "bangs" look is good. I bet you'll discover more ways too...

Re: Fun with fake hair III

That looks so cool! You know what, that reminds me of a Victorian 'do. Bun in the back, middle part, and ringlets in front of the ears.
First thing that came into my mind though was, how on earth would that woman need extra hair? But for shorter or coloured bits it makes sense of course.

Re: Fun with fake hair III

I think they match your hair color very well. And I really like the bandana picture with braids. Makes me want to get a bandana to try out some different styles. I have a fake hair piece I bought for fun, it's a curly long dark brown ponytail. I like adding jeweled claw clips and pins to dress it up.
