I need someone to convince one way or another... | | Why or why must I feel the need to try every product line that is mentioned here? Right now, the one that has caught my eye is the Morrocco Method line, but it is sooooo expensive! I need some of you guys and girls to convince me that it IS worth the money OR that it ISN'T. I would probably get the sample packs just to try everything, but that is going to cost me around $65 for the shampoos and the conditioners. Do they have a return policy in case I HATE them? I can't make up my mind and am hoping that some of you will swoop in with your words of wisdom and experience with this line to tell me what you think. My hair thrives on heavy conditioners like Biolage Conditioning Balm, Jessicurl Too Shea, and Nexxus Keraphix. I've heard about the MM being drying on the ends, but others have RAVED about it. Help me make up my mind!! | | | December 17th, 2004, 07:27 PM | #2 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Sep 2003 Location: Phoenix Age: 52 Posts: 398 Length: 16/29/35 Type: 1c/F/ii | | Re: MM? Maybe you could just buy one or two of the shampoos to cut down on the cost. I liked the earth and fire formula's alot. Also, there have been complaints about the formula's being changed. I haven't used the product in awhile and I think there have been some changes since I last used it. I have to say my hair looked and felt wonderful while I was using it. Sometimes I did notice a slight film over my hair but it wasn't bad. I think that came from the water formula, it tended to make my hair feel a little greasy sometimes too. I really liked the herbal scent of the product, some people don't like it at all. Its not for everyone but I've heard alot of good reviews of the product. I can't wait to go back on it myself! Really, if you just want to try MM shampoo, I'd go with a small bottle of Fire, and that's it. I seriously don't think it's necessary to buy all of them. I tried both Fire and Air, and there wasn't that much difference. What I didn't try was any of the conditioners, and I don't remember if they have trial sizes of them. I have a feeling they might be a little light for your hair, though. The thing about them is, if you have to buy the larger size, they can be used with any shampoo, whereas the shampoos don't always work with other maker's conditioners. To get your feet wet(or should that be hair), I'd buy as few items as possible, and if you really like them, you can always order more. __________________ The Big Question oil: Japanese camellia shampoo: Earthly Delight leave-in: Shea It Ain't So treatments: cassia; Phytologie Phytomoelle avatar: Una and the Lion ~Briton Rivière | | | December 18th, 2004, 05:47 AM | #4 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2003 Location: EU Age: 36 Posts: 1,080 Length: 19/19/+? At least that's what I do and my hair loves it. However, the conditioners you use could build up quickly with MM shampoos, because they are so mild. So if you like cones conditioners then MM shampoos might not be a good idea. I personally will probably not be ordering more conditioners again (except for the Euro oil), because I don't feel they do much for my hair and without synthetic conditioners my ends get dry. But there are other users who like the conditioners and not the shampoos. I looooove the shampoos! They are great if you've got an itchy flaky scalp or if you're looking for reducing your shedding. | | | December 18th, 2004, 10:14 AM | #5 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Jun 2004 Posts: 353 Length: 20/22/BSL Type: 1c/F/ii | | Re: MM? I need someone to convince one way or another... | | I have mixed feelings about the MM products. I used to absolutely love the shampoos, especially Earth and Water, until he changed the formulas. With the new formulas, I tend to get a dull buildup on my hair. But I keep going back to them because nothing makes my scalp feel as good. I didn't have much luck with the conditioners. The Euro Oil is too heavy for my fine hair and very hard to get out with his mild shampoos. The spray-in conditioners leave a crispy film on my hair. The Chi Instant conditioner is very nice, although so gritty it's very hard to get through your hair. I can only use it once in a while because if I use it too often, my hair gets over-conditioned and greasy looking. The biggest complaint I have about MM is their lousy customer service. They have never once answered an email! I got on their premier customer list and they sent me a code (2020) that you can use to get half price on their travel totes of shampoos or conditioners, and also half price on their new styling gel. Feel free to use it! With that, you can try all four shampoos for $15. HTH | | | December 18th, 2004, 03:07 PM | #6 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,560 Length: 32/37/65 | | Re: MM? Thanks so much for all the advice! | I'm so happy you saw my post in time to take advantage of the sale! Good luck with the products, I hope you can get them to work for you. I just used the shampoo (Water) the other day and followed it with an ACV rinse, it seemed to work better. One thing that makes it slightly less expensive is that I can go for 3 or 4 days between shampoos, whereas with other brands I shampoo or CO almost every day. But MM is still very spendy At least we can help each other out here by keeping an eye out for sales and promotions. Glad I could help | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
