I hate posting intros, as I always feel a bit silly ... kind of like "Ta da! It's ME!" But since I've been lurking here since July 2003 (embarrassing, but true) I thought it was about time. I'd prefer to let myself be known gradually, through my posts, if that's okay. But as for the basics: I started at 17" in June 2003, and am currently at 23". I've had four GM treatments/trims during those 15 months. My hair type is 2b, normal ponytail thickness but fine (there's a lot of it). My natural haircolor is a really ugly dark ash brown which I've highlighted for the past 15 years. However, I started going gray last year at an astonishing rate, and my silvery gray hairs clashed with my warmer highlights. My family (on both sides) goes silver gray, which I think is just beautiful, so I've gone natural since June. I'm probably about 30-40% gray right now. Unfortunately, my hair isn't particularly beautiful at the moment (it's a combination of graying roots with brassy looking ends), but I prefer to focus on the final result. This seems like a really great community, and I hope I'll fit in. I am another silver/white person. My 'other' colour is a mix of browns with a lot of red in it. I think it would be called chestnut maybe. My silver/white is all in front, mostly around my face, and depending on how it combs out looks like stripes sometimes, which can be pretty cool looking. I like the look, it used to look just like it was frosted. So, welcome, glad you're here! | | | September 17th, 2004, 06:38 PM | #8 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: May 2004 Location: traveling the enchanted path Age: 48 Posts: 2,480 Length: 22/31.5/ Type: 2c/F/M/ii | Hi Tracie, welcome to the lhc. | | | September 17th, 2004, 07:25 PM | #9 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jun 2004 Posts: 2,705 Length: 14/37/42 Type: 1b/F/iii | Welcome | | | September 18th, 2004, 06:00 AM | #10 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2003 Location: Stockholm, Sweden Age: 43 Posts: 4,048 Type: 1a/F/ii | Welcome Tracie! | | | September 18th, 2004, 06:31 AM | #11 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Aug 2004 Age: 36 Posts: 3,325 Length: 26/?/40 Type: 2a/2b/F/ii | Welcome Tracie! __________________ | | | September 18th, 2004, 07:43 AM | #12 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Oz Posts: 1,903 Type: 1b/1c/C/iii | Hi tracie, Welcome | | | September 18th, 2004, 08:16 AM | #13 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Aug 2004 Age: 35 Posts: 251 Length: 23"/31"/32" Type: 2a/F/M/ii | Welcome Tracie!
