This line leaves a film on my hair that makes it feel like plastic, dont like 'em. I would not recommend these for COing. | | | September 13th, 2004, 08:14 AM | #3 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Nowhere Posts: 1,521 Length: pixie/40 in/thigh Type: 1c/M/C/iii | | Re: another CO question- herbal essences | | Because CO takes up a LOT of conditioner; if anything, Herbal Essences is probably too pricey to use in big chunky globs for every wash. V05 and Suave are good bets mostly because they're so cheap. But most COers do a final finish with their favorite conditioner. You could still use your HE for that... that way the scent stays better too. __________________ Classic length, or thereabouts | | | September 13th, 2004, 08:22 AM | #4 | | Long Hair Devotee Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: california Age: 38 Posts: 572 | | Re: another CO question- herbal essences | | i thought the fruit fusions were cone free? does it have one hiding? i can't find the cone list that someone posted Last edited by monica sanders : September 13th, 2004 at 08:24 AM. | | | September 13th, 2004, 08:24 AM | #5 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Hungary Age: 34 Posts: 2,310 Length: 1/hip!/43ish Type: 2b/F/M/ii | | Re: another CO question- herbal essences | | First of all, I agree that they're rather too pricey for COing. Just my opinion, of course. As for ingredients... I have the HE fruit fusions purifying conditioner here ( green bottle), and cyclopentasiloxane, which is a silicone, is listed second. Also it contains dimethicone. I retired it without even trying it out. Also I have the HE (regular, I suppose - not fruit fusions) natural volume ( yellow bottle), which seems to be 'cone free. It's on my list of things to try. This summer, I think I tried using the pink one (for dry hair? Not sure), and it was spectacularly unsuccessful. Hair came out totally limp and greasy-looking. So, I can't really recommend them. They seem too heavy, and/or contain 'cones. If you do try it, please let us know what you think of the result. Best of luck! Most of them have cones, but I'm pretty sure some of them do not. Personally I think it is too thick for CO on the scalp, but you could use it for the detangling part I suppose. | | | September 13th, 2004, 03:08 PM | #7 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Upendi Age: 28 Posts: 1,748 Length: 15"/31.5"/45" Type: 1c/2a/M/i | | Re: another CO question- herbal essences | | Quote: | Originally Posted by monica sanders i thought the fruit fusions were cone free? does it have one hiding? i can't find the cone list that someone posted " | I just found out something myself ... not all -cones end in "cone"! The older formulas of Herbal Essences did Not have cones but when they changed them to the new ones that say with Hawafena they made them With cones. I also recieved an email from them recently saying they would be making more changes in December so that could mean new products or they could change the formulas again. __________________ This is before and after April 4th, 2007 Trim. I found it too heavy on my scalp, but excellent for detangling the length. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
