Thumbs up Infusium 23

This ,for my hair, works really great..without it..i know my hair would have more split ends and weak hair more prone to damage.I myself..using this product for about a year now...saw a difference in how much it helped my hair;though i used it in large quantities and kept reapplying within the day...only cus i liekd how it made my hair feel..less weak. The reason i rated low on the texture is 'cus i woulld liek it more thicker so more can stay on the hair without having to apply so much and having it slip out of my hand everytime i apply..texture of it is like water.

Re: Infusium 23

I used Infusium 23 Leave-in for 15 years. I could never get my hair to grow past BSL and would always have 1-2 " cut off every 4 months or so.

Then I found LHC and learned about how cones work. I quit using the Infusium and started using jojoba oil and aloe gel instead. In less than a year, I have very few split ends and my hair , at it's longest layer, is waist length. I haven't had a hair cut, or micro trim , since October, 2005.

I rated it poor on ease of use, because it was so thin, I had to put it in a separate spray bottle to use, or else waste alot of it trying to get it in my hair. It's not priced too sweet either. I find using one of my regular conditioners as a leave-in and on the ends, works much better and it's cost friendly.

I'm not bashing cones, because I know what works for me, might not work for someone else. I like the water soluble cones and now that I know I can clarify using an SLES shampoo, diluted, gives me a wide range of products to use.

Re: Infusium 23

I used it for a while before finding the long hair boards. I read that Melissa Reeves (Jennifer on DOOL) swears by it. I used to think her hair looked great. Yikes. I thought Infusium was hard to use as it was so watery and I don't think it did anything for my hair.

Re: Infusium 23

This is a fairly standard spray-on leave-in. Please note that it contains cones.

Re: Infusium 23

I bought this right off when I was looking for something to protect and strengthen my ends.

When applied to wet hair it didn't seem to do much the first day, and by the second day they would be crunchy. If applied to dry hair it would be crunchy immediately.

I also didn't like that it was so thin and watery... It seemed messy and didn't really sit with me very well.

I'll never touch it again. A completely full bottle (I used it three times) was given to my mother, who swears by Infusium.

Re: Infusium 23

I also used it for years. It did help me with frizz, and combability.
(I was already sulfate free and using a decent conditioner)

But I always had "crunchy" ends. I thought my hair was just naturally dry.

Wrong--my hair was just coated with cones that were keeping natural oils from lubricating and smoothing my hair shaft.

This stuff has lots of cones. I think it was ruining my hair, which had a strawlike quality from the shoulders down.

Now my hair is soft, not crunchy, and less frizzy than ever before (since childhood).

Note: I gave it a bad price review because I wouldn't pay a nickel for it ever again.

Re: Infusium 23

I used this over the period of about 2 weeks or about 7 washes. I was in desperate need of a leave-in CO & detangler and forgot I had this until then.

*It did not help with combing and detangling my wet hair at all.
*Its watery texture surprised me and it was really difficult to apply.
*There was no positive effect. My hair did not look any better after using it, the ends looked even worse, and overall it was dry and brittle.

ETA: I meant to rate it a "1" except for the packaging and price, but I made a mistake and posted too fast.
