Area Age: 27 Posts: 121 | I have no idea if it's ruined or not, 'cause I've always used plastic, but... uhm... I don't think I'd put it on my hair. o.o Then again, I manged to dye a rubber bathmat green today with henna some how, so I'm probably just being cautious. Maybe get some shed hair and use it as a test strand, to see what happens? __________________ Currently: 25" (on 05/01/03) of 3a/3b, F/N, ii dry-ish hair Goals: waist (30") then tailbone->classic | | | April 2nd, 2003, 03:16 PM | #3 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2003 Location: Virginia Age: 28 Posts: 2,151 Length: 20/32/36 Type: 1b/1c/F/ii/iii | Well, with regular, permantent dye, it says in the instructions not to use metal hair clips.....I forget why...it does something to the chemicals... | | | April 2nd, 2003, 04:13 PM | #4 | | Long Hair Guru Join Date: Feb 2003 Location: Da Bronx Posts: 1,017 | You're not supposed to have henna come into contact with ANY metals for fear of an adverse reaction -- that's the reason why you have to be careful when using dye over henna or henna over dye due to the aluminum in the dye. You may or may not have ruined your henna -- get some hair off your brush and do a strand test before using it just to make sure the hair doesn't turn green... __________________ "They sat and combed their beautiful hair, Their long, bright tresses, one by one, As they laughed and talked in the chamber there, After the revel was done."
