Do oils that are taken internally
help the appearance of skin?

I take a mix of oils every morning
and was wondering if these were
helping anything (I got the oils
mainly for my hair but was
wondering about my skin)
:)

Hiya! Eating oils or eating foods with lots of good oils, like nuts and avocados and such, is good for your skin and it helps all those fat-soluble vitamins do what they're supposed to do, which also helps your skin.

What oils do you take in the morning?

It really depends on your skin and body .

I take flax seed oil , fish oil , Vit E (it in not really an oil but …) , EPO and I eat a lot of nuts , avocado and other oil producing plants (I am vegetarian) and my skin is the same .

A lot of people told me that they broke out from Flax seed oil but they had really good results with EPO .

The best thing about these oils is the content of Omega 3 / 6 …

Yes! I believe they do. Drinking enough water is a way to see almost immediate results and of course sunscreen is THE most important thing to keep your skin looking younger.

Every skin study I've read regarding oil intake (Borage, EPO, Flax Seed, etc) has only shown positive results. Some people have an adjustment period (of varying length) where they break out, but that's to be expected with just about any supplement (in my research, anyway). I know that when I take oils, my skin breaks out a little for a couple of weeks and then it's ALL GLOW. ;) Love the stuff, and am SO glad I'm finally back on EPO again. :) EPO really seems to be "the woman's oil." So many different uses.

Yup - concur with everyone - it's one of the few things that I've seen fast and measureable results with. I recommend Salicylic Acid (Neutrogena makes a great one) for exfoliation so that the oils can come through easier...g

And for those who can't tolerate Salicylic Acid - like me :D - go for an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid. It helps keep the breakouts away while taking oils. Plus, who wouldn't want "renewed" skin. ;) LOL

I'm having a moment... LOL

I saw, "Flakiness is good for your heart, too." I thought to myself, "Yeah, I guess it could be..."

I'm feeling very blonde right now.

I can say that, I AM blonde. ;) LOL

Ever since I have been taking fish oil capsules (only one per day) I have noticed that my skin has this wonderful glow to it, the little bumps on my arms also went away. I dont know if these bumps were true Keratosis P but they were ugly...and now they're gone, just in time for summer! :D

Taking flaxseed oil every morning means that I no longer have to use really expensive skincare products to avoid breakouts. That makes the price of it seem less, I guess.
