What do you consider the most attractive hairlength?

I voted thighlenght, but this is probably sour grapes :oops: as it will take me forever to get just that far. I think the length of the hair depends on the person. Different stlyes look good on different people.

I voted waistlength because that's the closest there was. I actually think that tailbone is the most attractive length.

There are some women that I've seen carry off thigh length and below -- most of the pictures I've seen of women in LHC with that length look great in it. But I've seen too many random pictures of women with past-tailbone length hair where it just looks ... well, overpowering. I don't think I've ever people with tailbone length that I didn't like.

I don't like any length inherently better than any other. Some people look good with short hair, some with waist-length, etc. I think it really depends on the person.

why are there no shorter lengths? I like BS the best and it's not a choice.

I chose option R: it depends on the person. Some people look fantastic with very short hair, and others look great with hair to their heels, with a very lot of people somewhere in between those two extremes.

I don't think there's one length that looks good on everyone.

I think it depends on the person.

It would be my opinion that waistlength on most anyone
looks nice, beyond that it must be cared for properly.

Then again you must consider the person's size and
also keep in mind that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
What I find attractive at one point may seem horrid to another.

My vote is for any length of long hair, as long as it is well cared for.

I like tailbone. It's my goal. If I thought I could get it to the floor and beyond, I think I would try. That would be fun.

I think anything beyond waistlength is gorgeous...I also like hair somewhere between BS and waistlength.....so I guess...anything longer than BS...but overall my favorite is probably tailbone....:)...

It really depends on the person and the hair, but I'm partial to mid-thigh length.

Everyday since I started on this longhair journey I find new lenghts I like. When I first thought of growing it long it was, "Oh, only to my mid-back." Now I think waist? thigh? beyond?

Everyone's pictures are so inspiring...maybe I could be like that doll who you could pull her hair out and cut it...pull and cut...forever playing with the length.

my ideal would have to be classic length or somewhere between tailbone and classic length. I'll decide in a year if my hair makes it to classic length which I prefer (on me anyway). It's a little less than an inch short of tailbone length now. Hair longer than classic usually looks a little awkward to me.

I voted for waistlength, but it really depends on the person, and what they want. For myself, I would prefer either tailbone-length or classic-length hair. But I see other people who look great with waist-length hair, or thigh-length hair, or even short hair. Generally, instead of following stupid rules about height, facial features, weight, etc... the length a person wants the most is the length I usually think they look best in. For example, if somebody has really long hair but hates it, then I think that shows in the health and overall appearance of their hair and they definitely should cut it. On the other hand, I've heard from people who wish they had long hair, but for some reason or another wouldn't grow it- such a shame because these people I think would look great with long hair. Now, did that make any sense? :)

I think waistlength looks the nicest usually. It's really hard to say. It depends on the quality of the hair. Waistlength with ratty ends is awful and BS with perfect ends is awesome.

I say bra strap length or waist length is most attractive...and not layered, just all one length...... anything longer is nice to look at on others but those aren't my goals (of course that can alwasy change!)

My idea of the perfect length is when the glutes are completely covered, is that classic length?

I love to see hair that length especially when the hair is healthy, shiny and the bottom is trimmed nice & even with full ends. That is my idea of the perfect hair & also is my hair goal which on me is about 44" (only 25" more to go :wail: )..

Although I gotta say I love to see it when people get past that length, I admire it so much but for me personally I don't think it would work.

On me I think exactly waistlength will look best as it draws attention to waist and butt inmo and (I'm probably in a minority here) but I happen to like them both. :wink:

LOL, I passed up what I think is the perfect length long ago: classic length, where the buttocks turns into the thighs. Such a great length!

:grin: I voted "kneelength", but best really varies from woman to woman. One time I voted tailbone as the ultimate WOW length, b/c after that extra length is pure gravy to my eyes (if it looks good).
But frankly, do I think those women who have longer hair than TB or knee would look better shorter? Not a chance!!! Those here with longer tresses are like a rainbow or waterfall- unspeakable beauty. But as some have said, such lengths are not realistic to hope for, and shorter long hair looks plenty purdy to me, enough to make my day. Bob

I voted for waistlength. I would LOVE to have waistlength hair, although I will probably stop at just below BSL myself (simply b/c at this point I can't see myself dedicating the amount of time that ultra long hair needs).

I dream of waist to TB-length curls which would probably be about classic length+ when wet/straight.

For me it is classic length. I love the way hair looks at this length. Of course, the condition of the hair is a big factor. If it is thick and beautiful all the way to the ends, then it is perfect.

I voted waistlength, but would have chosen tailbone if it was a choice. I think its a length that says "wow your hair is long!" without being so long its a hassle, such as sitting on it. Now that my hair is pretty much at my goal length I think Im going to shift my goal to tailbone, the waistlength hair just draws attention (IMO) to my lovehandles. Not my fav body part. :razz:

I consider the ideal length to be knee-length. But it must be still healthy and in a blunt cut. If its realy thin and stringy at that length, then i think itīs beter to cut it back a bit to a length where the ends are fuller.

I can be in awe of healthy ankle length hair as well, but longer than that is a bit over the top in my opinion.

I hate short hair and all lenghts for me are good.
But the most attractive for me is as long as possible with good look and healt; I think anklelenght (if is possible) is the best!

Yesterday, I saw a child who couldn't have been more than 9, with beautiful thigh-length hair. I was just amazed. Her whole family had long hair, but hers was just beautiful. Maybe it was because she was so young.

It really depends on the person, their hair type, how much time they'll put into it and what they want.

For me, I'd have to say I'd look good (at least I hope) with classic. My hair is thick enough and in such good condition that I'm hoping it'll look stunning and very healthy. It hurts when you see a woman with long hair, but at least 10" of it are broken off and split up. I'll see if I like classic and possibly aim for mid thigh.

Waist length seems to look good on just about anyone, male or female. But so far tale bone or classic are my two favorite lengths on anyone.

I wanted to choose BS-length, but that wasn't an option. I tend to find that length most often attractive on other women. Although it really depends on the person. Here I see a lot of beautiful well-cared long hair of all lengths, but I also think short hair can be really attractive.
Personally, my goal would be waist and beyond. Tailbone, perhaps?

Going back to what someone said a few pages back, I would vote for hair just long enough to reach the back pocket of jeans. It makes the eye go from head to toe in one smooth movement without the extra work of ankle length hair!

I think it depends. I saw a girl that worked at a Office Max that has hair down to her ankles. It was soooooo pretty. It seemed to be in really good health and looked really good. But this past Friday we went to Carowinds and I saw a couple different people with hair down to their waist and it was soooo unhealthy and didn't look good at all. It's amazing how much closer I look at people's hair now since coming here. :wink:

I love hair when it is past the bra strap just covering the breasts.

I like all lenghts from over the shoulders until above the knee. But I think that hair longer than the knees is too much. I love that long hair when it's braided but when it's loose I think you kind of lose your body figure because of it.

And when it's longer than knee-length I think it must be very incomfortable to leave hanging loose.

I like all lengths too that were in the poll, but I voted knee, because that is what I want myself 8)

I voted knee length, because I have seen a few women with hair this length in incredible condition and it was just amazing (made me go gaga, but then I am a guy, and not much makes me go gaga :lol: )

Truthfully though, it is the condition, more than anything. I have seen some amazing hair that is just below shoulder length because of its condition. I have never seen ankle, floor, or beyond floor in real life, so I can't make an opinion there. :tongue:

This is what I think looks good on MOST people because it's easiest to grow and properly care for.

Those lucky folks with hair that's longer are exceptional because they are able to grow and care for super-long hair. :) They are the special ones.

I think I've voted a similar thread before and there tailbone length is the winner. Here I voted for ankle length because I think it'S unbelievably special. But my all time favourite length is one or two inches longer than knee length. Not calf or not knee just in between :wink:

For me the most attractive length will be when I can master all of the updos with enough hair to complete all the twists, turns, loops, or whatever. Styles include: the double loop knot, the Chinese hair stick bun, infinity bun, retro french twist, flippy updo, and so many more. That's when I'll be satisfied (I think). My goal won't be so much the length (since this is not a marathon for me), but rather, what styles will look best "completed" on me. I will wear my hair up, bunned, and organized, in some updo manner. Also, it's the healthiest way for my hair. I do find though when I get home from work, I like to let it down for a couple of hours. Feels good, then I get paranoid and put it back into some kind of bun to protect it (and keeps my hands out of it) until bed time and time for the satin bonnet on the satin pillow case. (The case is there if I decide on taking a daytime nap.) See, I have been reading these posts and paying attention and I am trying to follow the hair care "rules". :wink:

I do too, IMO it's like a happy medium for all the long lengths. I just voted for the "shortest" which was waist length. Although I think all the lengths are great, I just prefer BSL and waistlength the best. :wink:

I find the longer the hair the better....especially when it is in good condition. My ideal length that makes me sigh...is anything longer than thigh length....of which I aspire to.

I guess I voted for waist length because most of the people I've seen with this length hair really do have gorgeous hair. Everyone (in real life, not on these boards) that I've seen with longer hair always seem to have scraggly ends that look like they just need to be cut off to make the hair look nice. Of course, I think the people with the super-long, gorgeous hair on these boards are pretty unique: they take great care of their hair *and* I'm sure they have pretty good hair-growing genes, too.

I'm not sure how long I can grow my hair, but my preference would be to get to at least waist-length. I'm not sure if my hair will even get that long; I've never grown it that long before. So we will see!

I used to think waist length was the prettiest length before I came here. I had no idea that hair could grow as long as some of the LHC members' hair

I voted for thigh length, because there are so many extravagent hairstyles that are possible! My goal now is classic length. I want to be able to make one braid, and pull it over my shoulder, and have it touch my lap. *sighs dreamily!*

I voted waistlength. From waist to tailbone I think are the most attractive on a woman.

Longer than tailbone I think the attractiveness shifts from the woman to the hair (imo) and it's easier for a sexy woman to get lost.

Of course to everything there are many exceptions! It does largely depend on the individual.

On men...I really have no preference, other than that I really admire, and like to look at any hair that is longer than nape or so! :)

I voted thighlength. HOWEVER I think all of those lengths look beautiful! Thigh is just the one that is most appealing to me these days. I have seldom seen hair at a length I would term unattractive. On occasion I have deemed a length unflattering to its wearer, but not really unattractive in or of itself.

I like bra strap length too and I love waist length -- it's so sensual. If the hair's in great condition and well-cared for, I like the longer lengths too.

On a guy, waist to thigh length. On a woman, the sky's the limit! There are a lot of gals here with some really GREAT looking hair! (And great looking, too....!)

I voted ankle length, since that's the way a woman can show her glory in all its amazing beauty. When hair is growing beyond floor length it looses its natural flow, although the length itself is of course even more impressing!

I think any length that is well-kept (shiny, neat, etc.) is the most attractive. It's also nice if the person growing the hair is pleasant, so they don't detract from the beauty of their hair. (I've known some long-haired _itches with beautiful hair, but you could barely notice that, due to their awful personalities getting in the way.)

It depends on the person. Some look nice with short hair, while long hair flatters other.

I'm really surprised at the number of people voting for waist-length hair! I thought I was going to be in the minority when I voted for hair this short. I wish tailbone had been an option. I really wanted to vote for that.

I think waist length is really nice. Longer than that and it seems difficult to deal with (for me it would be!) and well I would be afraid of sitting on it and all that.
