My husband and I went to Vegas for my best friend's wedding and it was wonderful. We came home and it felt like we were dating again even...then just four days later his mother who is only 45 years old went into the ER with chest pain. They determined that it was not a Heart attack, but rather Congestive Heart Failure. She has been in the Coronary Care Unit since Sunday, and they have not specified the degree to which her heart is failing. To make matters worse, this poor woman has been through Breast Cancer 8 years ago that took one of her breasts(we believe it contributed to the heart problems due to Chemo) and several other major surgeries in the seven years my husband and I have been married. Including a Hysterectomy, exploratory surgery, two times to have adhesions removed, and part of her colon removed due to Diverticulitis. She has also been diagnosed with Intersticial Cystitis.
You would think that with all of these procedures and the multitudes of doctor's and specialist visits, that someone would have found that her heart was getting weak, NO? This poor woman has been in pain off and on for the last 8 years, and it is so overwhelming. I am sick with the flu so I can't go see her, he is upset with the doctors and the whole situation, we are still stressed about money. I am disappointed with my hair and feel like cutting it....I know it's just stress, but we all just feel so helpless.

thanks for listening....it feels good to vent.

I'm so sorry! Stress can be difficult, but don't give in to a spur of the moment hair cutting--think about it for a few days. I hope you get plenty of rest and recover from the 'flu.

I'm sure that the doctors are doing what they can for your mother-in-law. Heart conditions are not always easy to diagnose, and the important thing is that they are treating it now. My prayers are with you.

Danni, I'm sorry you and your family are going through this difficult time! Hang in there, and don't do anything drastic to your hair!

Aw Danni - this collosally sucks.

The best vibes I can come up with are going your way.

Danni there is just nothing you can do in a situation like this except go through it the best you can. I know that seems so obvious but as you well know if you loose heart it makes everything even worse.

Do try not to cut your hair even if it seems like it would feel good. This will go it's course and your hair would be short for a long time after...hugs and love to you...Gabi
