Hi there, just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking for a very long time and decided I need to come out of the long hair closet. Um, let's see, my hair is to my shoulders at 17.5 inches, and it's been growing at a decent clip (no pun intended), I'm averaging about an inch a month so if I can keep up that rate (I wish!) I'll soon be catching up to some of the beautiful hair I see in everyone's signatures. :sun:
Also, I'm new to using message boards, so with everyone's patience I'll be learning by stumbling around.

Hmmm...
Now I just see a red X, where my pic was just a second ago.
Sigh...bizarre, I didn't change a thing...

Oh..and hello everyone, thanks for the hair compliments. I try to take good care of it. The color is henna over my natural dark brown. My sister is my hair growing, trimming, measuring & henna buddy. She has the most gorgeous long, wavy hair. Her goal is as long as it'll grow. She has also been a lurker for a long time. I'll have to get her to come out of the shadows as well.

A big welcome to the boards, Ember!!!

I guess your photo isn't posting now :( but I'll see it again soon, I'm sure!

Is there any chance you can get your sister to de-lurk, too! ;) We are pretty nice to sisters around here . . . . ;)

Hi there, Teacherbear! I've enjoyed your posts (and many others) as a lurker. I'll work on the sister, but since we live together & share the computer, for her to be on, I have to be off and I'm almost always on the net :)
Oh good, after re-entering the url, my pic is back. I hope I can get it to stay!

Hi ember wife! I see that you used photoisland to store your siggy pic, and it appears that you right clicked your pic to get the url. In order for your pic to remain you'll need to get an auction link from photoisland. If you click on your pic in your album there will be a list on the left of the next page. The very last option is for an auction link. Click on that and copy and paste the link they give you into your signature as an image file. I think those links will last for 3 months.

Hope that works for you! :)
