I'm just so excited about it I had to post. I've only been knitting about a month and a half. I've made a couple hats, lots of scarves, and now, a tank top! If anyone has the book Stitch and Bitch, it's the pattern called Tank Girl, and I made it in Sage green cotton. I actually wanted to make the top for my sister even more than for myself, but as a new knitter I needed to make a prototype first. Now I am ready to tackle hers, but not for awhile (I'm a little sick of this pattern right now).
Anyone else have exciting knitting news?

Congratulations, Sneakybea! Sounds like you have picked up the knitting bug....careful, it is really contagious!

I've been knitting mittens lately. I acquired a pattern book form 1939 of Norweigen ( the color behind when not used in the pattern). The palm has a geometric type pattern and the back has patterns like leaves, skiers, etc. With the 2 yarns, the mittens are very heavy and warm (just what we need for Minnesota winters).

Good luck with making the tank top for your sister!

Great news! It's exciting when you finish new projects. :DD

I'm currently working on a pair of socks for my little brother. Only trouble is, the gauge is very tight and he has very large feet. I feel like I'm never going to finish these socks! :dizzy:

Yay for you! That's quite an accomplishment for such a short amount of time at a new hobby! I still haven't knit anything that isn't a square or a rectangle.
