I bought henna..and the directions say to leave it on for about 75 minutes. I have noticed, however that alot of people leave it on for hours at a time. Any reason for this? Should I leave it on for longer? Is there benefits for leaving it on longer?
Thanks!

I found that the colour turns out darker and cooler (less orange) if I leave it on for longer. That seems to be the case for pure henna, but even more so for henna based herbal mixes like the Logona dyes that I use.
And I want the colour as intense as it gets so I rarely leave it on for less than four hours, even though it says on the package that an hour is sufficient.
If you only want subtle results or aren't sure how the colour you use will turn out I highly recommend a strand test. Just make sure you use a heat source to process the sample since it'll be warm on your head, too, even if you just wrap a towel around it.

Great! Thank you so much for clarifying that for me. I have read about you guys using henna..and when the direction said 60-75 minutes..I was like "WAIT A MINUTE" that doesn't sound right!
Thanks again!
