Okay, so this may be a goofy question, but when you call a GM salon - how do you ask to schedule an appt for the treatment? Do you say "I'd like to schedule for a treatment," or, "I'd like to schedule for a protein treatment," or, "I'd like to schedule where you put goop on my head, put me under a dryer for like an hour and have my hair look lusterously glossy afterwards"? ;-) What's it actually called?

I'm seriously, seriously thinking about going to the GM salon in Columbus when I visit. I dunno how far away it'll be from where I'm staying (I won't have a car while there), or how far in advance I need to schedule, but I've just heard so many good things from people here, and it seems like it'd be really fun, even if I do it by myself. (Anyone here wanna come with me? :))

And, how much does it usually cost (before I buy the whole product line :))?

Cheers,
Jonobie

especially if you say the 1 hour treatment. (which in fact is a heavy proteing treatment as I understand it.)

The treatment is actually an hour, but you can probably count on being there for 3.

Depending on the area, I guess 75-125....somewhere in there.

my wife just had that done, and bought some of everything, and spent another 50-60 for 2 bottles shampoo, conditioner, cream rinse, and the 12 min conditioer... but she's well stocked for a few months, I'm told.

"Full treatment" which includes the consoltation (which is free anyhow) and the shampoo, 1 hour, cream rinse, roller setting, and dusting.

They would also know what you meant if you said "1 hour with a dusting".

I'm going to call tomorrow and make an appointment. I'll be on a road trip and hope to arrive in Pittsburgh by 5pm. So I hope to leave early on Wed. 03/26 and have my appointment set up as soon as the salon is open.

hahahaahahahahahaa :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I think I asked for the One Hour Treatment, then asked what was included in that.

I agree, with Smythe, plan to be at the salon for 3 hours (4 to be safe! ;) ) hahaha

Also, I'd call a few weeks ahead of time, just to be sure. I can get in with Bill within a week or two, but I don't know how busy the other salons are.

You HAVE to report back! :)

Aha -- so you'll be able to report back before I go! :) I'm going to be there April 13-18.

I live in Michigan and the Ohio GM salons are the closest ones. I'm still not sure if the Columbus or Olmsted Falls one is closer to me. I have talked with Lance at Enchantress at Olmsted Falls, Ohio. He has been so nice and helpful that I would like to go to his salon when I venture to Ohio. I'll let everyone know when I go. :)
