View Full Version : Calling all *dis*content Morocco Method users... :)
Jonobie March 10th, 2003, 10:45 AM Not tryin' to dis the line or anything (since I've never used it myself), but to play devil's advocate, and because I'm curious...
Has anyone here tried MM and found it merely so-so or downright awful? If so, what was wrong with it?
Cheers,
Jonobie (who's hoping Pixna doesn't come bodyslam her for daring to suggest such a thing! :))
DweamGoiL March 10th, 2003, 10:49 AM watch out she's small, but she's fast... :D
*DweaM hides from Pixna, too*
Karen March 10th, 2003, 11:42 AM i could not post on the other thread, since it wasn't directed at me
i find it so so but i have not formed a final decision.
pros:
all natural
scalp feels better than with other things i've tried (reg. shampoos, decyl poly. shampoos, co washing)
cons:
length feels drier
more frizz
more flyaways
no curl/wave definition
horrible scent to all of it, except the peppermint shampoo
ends seem more split
no growth this month for the first time since measuring (1.5 years of measuring, which may have to do with the drier ends perhaps breaking. Although I had mono in January, I had 1/2" growth like clockwork. For the most of February, I was feeling better.)
there's my review. don't tell Pixna, she'll hurt me.
Pixna March 16th, 2003, 07:30 AM You all can run but you cannot hide!!!!! Bwahahahahaha!!! You're right, Dweamie -- I'm small but fast and STRONG. So WATCH OUT all you MM discontents -- I can be brutal when necessary!!!!! :face:

sheepygrrl March 25th, 2003, 05:49 AM I'm way late in replying but I thought I'd put my final notes on MM here. Especially since I decided not to use it anymore.
The big problem I had was that it darkened my hair quite a lot. I have medium to light blonde hair with darker roots and underside. I found after a few weeks of using the MM my hair was no longer blonde but instead a light brown. Very strange. Unfortunately I prefer my lighter blonde so I've gone back to the AO Chamomille shampoos and I'm back to a much brighter blonde, phew! Otherwise my hair felt good and I liked the smell and the conditioners. I still use the conditioners occasionally and I use the Earth and Sea 'poos for face washing. I think my hair prefers the AO at least it isn't as dark and I haven't noticed any real changes in the health of my hair.
So I think I'll use the MM occasionally but not exclusively.

Amazon July 1st, 2003, 04:41 PM Bumping this up again....quite a bit late, sorry.
I bought the entire line, sample shampoos and the conditioners and euro oil.
I liked everything in the beginning. After I used it for awhile, I found my hair was getting oiler, flatter, heavier and needed to be washed every day. The washing every day and the oiler hair did me in. No matter the combination I tried, it was basically the same results.
The only time it got a bit better, was after I stopped using the spray conditioners and only used the euro oil. The heaviness was gone, but unbelievable tangles. I have lost so much hair using this method, ugh.
I am still using the shampoos, I like how gentle they are to the length, however I am mixing them with Nature's Gate Herbal Shampoo....they work extremely well together. :P
That's it for now.......back to the drawing board on finding "THE" product line. *sigh*
*walks away muttering to herself 'Kenra....GM....Kiehls, which one is next'*
gabiwags July 1st, 2003, 06:16 PM Ammie - thank for that tip  .
I think I'll just pump all that stuff out and mix in a big container - make some room :rockerdude: .
I've about come to the conclusion that it is useless to fight my hair product slut status. Alternating works better for me and I eventually use up almost everything YAY!
and Ammie everytime I see that picture of your hair I react like I've just seen an adorable puppy - from me that is the highest of praise :DD ...g
spiritseeker October 4th, 2003, 07:12 PM I posted this on the swap board but thought I would try here too.
If any of you who are not content with the MM would be willing to give up a sample I'll pay a reasonable fee with shipping.
I'm dying to try it, but I'm poor!
Thanks,
Amanda

These are the same things I'm experiencing so far. I'm hoping they'll go away in time, but if not I'll definitely have to switch. A friend actually commented today that my hair was looking much darker.
