Hey LJ, I don't have to make any more caps if I don't want to. Its the 20 boxes of "I'm going to get to this some day" projects I was referring to.

I did show a little sense yesterday when I decided that the Afghan I was making for the couch was 1) ugly, 2) not shaping up the way the one in the pattern looked, and 3) that the couch in question would be history by the time the afghan was finished.

Life is really too short to waste on ugly craft projects.

I cut my losses, literally, and turned it into an ugly, but warm and incredibly durable scarf and an equally ugly potholder. I will be the only person who will ever wear the ugly scarf (maybe on the next 12 degree below zero morning), Now onto some of the remaining projects.

The nice thing about the cap is that its attractive and in the current style so my kidlings are loving it and its showing up on different heads. Not that they don't already have other knitted caps to wear.

Hey, it's always nice when the kids think something ya made is cool! Feels almost like I'm "hip" again! Almost!

Way to go, cutting your losses like that and improvising something else out of that afghan-to-be.

WooHoo!! Doesn't it feel good to finish projects?

Do you have any pictures of the new stuff yet?

Congratulations on completing your project! :)

This weekend's project for me has been to make some baby socks for my 3-month-old niece. They're so quick! I'm working on pair three right now, and I've barely spent any time on them at all. Not like making HUGE socks for my brother...! (or for myself - I must admit to having huge feet for someone as short as I am) ;)

What's the next project?

Congrats on your score too. I have never made baby booties-something to think about?

I have a really cool needlepoint canvas that is finished and blocked (I stitched this one). A few months ago, I picked up some never used curtains in a french country print at the thrift store for the ruffle and the backing for the cushion cover I want to make with this canvas. I think that is the next one to go down. Involves getting the machine out and installing a zipper.

I am tempted to do another rasta hat or to finish this wonderful crewel piece that was already 80% finished by its original owner that I found when I was going through my quasi friend Howard the junk dealer's leather scraps. But neither one is on my master list for 2004(and, I did tell myself I was going to finish certain things this year . . .).

I'll try to get some pics. Finally, found the digicam's cord.

What's next for you?
