View Full Version : Y'all were right... the NOC wash is perfect...

... for folks who work out frequently but don't want to over-shampoo their hair. I tried it last night with Suave Naturals Aloe Vera, which seems to have more honeysuckle than aloe vera and smells delicious. It feels so good to have a clean head! I find that washing 2 times each week is ideal for most of my hair, but I hate the feeling after 3 hard workouts of my length in perfect equilibrium and an itchy, sweaty scalp. I'm very happy to find this method-- thanks for describing it!

Are you talking about CO wash?!

NoC is 'no conditioner'.

"conditioner only" wash or "CO" as Katrine said.

I used to do the CO also, and really enjoyed it. It's perfect if you have to wash frequently.

Now I am doing the "NoC" or no conditioner- how ironic. I'll try just about anything. :) I am just substituing a regular type conditioner for oils or aloe.

Yes, yes, I did mean CO wash.

I have been craving fish and chips all day and making ridiculous mistakes because my brain was too obsessed with thoughts of lunch. Now that I have glutted on fish and chips, perhaps I can start making sense again. Sorry for the mistake!

(If I actually did a NoC wash, i'd probably be at home, wrapped in tangled hair and calling 911 with a toe!)

It is surprisingly easy to detangle with a vinegar rinse, I would never have believed it if I hadn't tried it. I usually use at least 1/3 bottle of cheap conditioner to detangle, it took me only a little longer to detangle in the shower with ACV rinse in my hair.

I still put a leave-in on though, after I've rinsed the ACV out... ;) Guess I'm trying the LOC (Lo-Conditioner) routine.
