And if so, what sort of results have you had?
I've been doing some research on the web, and claims have been made that it is comparable to Accutane in effectiveness, but with fewer side effects. Has this been the case for you?
Thanks in advance.

I've read about this too and have just started taking it, but it hasn't been long enough to say either way. I'd be interested in hearing about others' good results as well.

I have never had really bad skin, but I started taking this about 8 months ago, it made my small monthly breakouts disapear. The best part about this stuff is they say that you can decrease/quit taking it after a while. I started out taking 2000-3000mg per day, now I take one 1000mg tablet every few days when I remember. I have read other experiences on several message boards and some of them have been amazing!

For very severe acne, I had a friend who got a prescription from a doctor for a vitamin A treatment (internal). He did it for half a year, and he wasn't allowed to drink alcohol during that time. But his skin cleared up wonderfully. Another guy did the same last year with great results. Now both of them are free of acne.

I'd be a bit worrid though, because I read that high doses of Vitamin A can cause hairloss. But I never noticed something on their hair. They're both short-haired though...

Maybe this was info no-one was looking for... but I thought I'd just might add what I know anyway...

I had acne for one year when I was 18. B-vitamines didn't show any results, but zinc did! It actually made my acne go away.
