I love decoupage!! It is awesome!! For Christmas I made my BF a set of decoupaged boxes, nestled inside each other -- the outer box I painted a dark blue to match his living room, and decoupaged carp fish swimming around it...the middle box is green with more "earthy" pictures on it, and the inner box is about ring-sized, and I painted it white and then covered it with lines from love poems I like, and inside I dangled an amber heart from the lid, and painted "love" on the bottom...that's been my latest decoupage project...what are you doing?

I'm fixing fall leaves from the plastic around a boquet to a metal tin.

I've done some decoupaging...and it's great fun! I have a puzzle box filled with pics I've cut from magazines and papers. I have never bought cut-outs though I've seen some nice ones before.

As for projects, my pride was a little flower pot and plate covered with flower pictures. I'm sorting some pics to do a folder now. I also have a ton of sequins and a small puzzle box....I'm thinking. :D

Okay, my current decoupage is kinda ghetto. I'm recycling cardboard boxes to make some shelves. I'm going to hang them up in my office/craft room to hold needles, pens, pencils, scissors, etc. I cut some smaller cardboard pieces and taped (yes, I told you it was ghetto) them to the inside to make smaller dividers. I've spray painted the insides black, but need to put on another coat. I've already cut out stuff from magazines; just anything that caught my eye. Right now I've got several color themes, so that each shelf will have a different color. I've run out of spray paint though, so I'll have to finish this weekend.

I've always wanted to decoupage a piece of furniture. I do need a new desk chair...

I've always wanted to decoupage a piece of furniture. I do need a new desk chair...

The first piece of furniture I decoupaged was a bookcase. I used lots of pictures from magazines as well as pictures I printed out on my computer of pre-raphealite paintings (my favorite!)...a bookcase is an easy way to start off, and I got it for $20 at Wal-mart...just an idea!
