I want about a pound, unrefined. Just plain ole shea butter w/no other stuff added to it.

I'm wondering if there's any places I might not have heard of.

I've got a place but I'm not online yet :D
The new shop I'm building will have over 300 essential oils, as much dried herbs and spices, tinctures, cremes, carrier oils like jojoba, avocado, whatever. I'm able to get shea butter, too. Some other small stuff too.
The essential oils should be online pretty soon, but still got a lot of work for the other stuff

Nature's Wildchild:

The shea butters (yes, plural!) are at:

Her African Natural Shea Butter is fabulous for hair, and just $7.60 for one pound.

Careful, though, if you're like me, you'll end up buying TONS of stuff, way more than just the shea butter you're looking for!!!!!

Thanks for the links, RBR. I bookmarked em. I ended up ordering some "Soft & Creamy" shea from health2go.com. They whip into the shea some liquid shea to make it creamier. I'll see if I like it.

Queenie: I can't wait to see your new shop!! Sounds great! I looked at your chocolates website and it got me hungry for some chocolate....yummmmm

Try Snowdrift Farms or Mountain Rose Herbals for bulk Shea Butter. If you're interested, I hand-craft a beautiful hair oil "Burdock Root Hair Oil" made using only 100% plant material and the by-products of plants. This has been infused, a lengthy process requiring patience, intention and heart. I infuse specific herbs beneficial to the hair in organic olive oil for 3/months, then blend with Shea Butter, Tamanu and Coconut Oil. It's exquisite. Stimulates growth, nourishes and leaves the hair beautiful.

Elise (I LOVE your name!),
Thanks for the info. When's your website gonna be up? I'd love to see what else you make.

Thank you - I like my name too. My goal for the web site is February 3. You are welcome to contact me at mountain-spirit@comcast.net and I can download you my brochure & medicinal information. My "Burdock Root Hair Oil" has become a best seller - it's really wonderful. My intention with my products, is to nourish the hair/skin & spirit. As to original Shea Butter question, I buy in 5/pound batches from Snow Drift and am extremely pleased with their product. They are the most cost effective, they deliver promptly and answer all questions impeccably. Amen, eh?
