View Full Version : what I made today
bunniee March 6th, 2003, 06:58 PM http://www.bunniee.net/tshirt.jpg
It isn't quite finished yet, as I want to add more flowers under the lettering and maybe some glitter. A girl can never have too much glitter. ;)
I got the t-shirt idea from a friend, and the flowers were my own special touch.

Mariah March 6th, 2003, 07:05 PM bunniee, you're so crazy, but I like it! 8)

gabiwags March 6th, 2003, 10:42 PM LOL - Now that makes sense :DD...g
dancingbarefoot March 6th, 2003, 11:09 PM I LOVE it! It's just the right sort of weird. :D
Melusina March 7th, 2003, 12:49 AM That is just too cool!
Pixna March 7th, 2003, 03:33 AM Heehee!!! You're a hoot (umm, should that be hooters? ;)), Bunniee!!! :D
Carolyn March 7th, 2003, 04:56 AM You got that right girl! My sentiments exactly.

_banshee March 7th, 2003, 08:53 AM Thumps up to you, bunniee!! (Should work as well as most of the so-called hawks are probably men ;) )
xxx_banshee
Arcticpixie March 7th, 2003, 09:18 AM That is too funny! I like it.
Melusina March 7th, 2003, 09:31 AM I love it! I want one!
Me, too, but if I wear it, it'll be false advertising. *looks sadly at frontal region*

:::SNORT::: Good Gravy woman, warn a person before you post things like that! I now have cheerios (with strawberries!) trying to make it up my nose from the back way! That's what I get for reading this board while eating brunch.
You are too funny!
bunniee March 7th, 2003, 11:12 AM Ooooo... I LOVE it! What a hoot! Where will you where it?
I'm just going to wear it out & about, and see if people notice and make comments. :DD
And for those who think they don't have enough on top to wear a shirt like this, nonsense! B**bs are b**bs no matter the size. I'm not a hot young chick either, but I don't care.
I used Rose Art brand metallic markers for the lettering, and the flowers are just iron-on patches. I was going to get more flowers to add on today, but I've been busy job hunting and baking gingersnap cookies.

Carolyn March 7th, 2003, 11:43 AM After reading about those guys getting arrested for wearing GIve Peace a Chance T shirts I want one too! I might have to get out my glitter and stick on stuff. :D Hehe. I dare someone to make a comment about wearing a shirt like that. I love it! you go girl! Off to search for my red dangly peace symbol earrings. :D
Melusina March 7th, 2003, 01:59 PM If anyone threatened to arrest me over a t-shirt...I'd just take it off.
Carolyn March 7th, 2003, 03:43 PM If anyone threatened to arrest me over a t-shirt...I'd just take it off.
These were guys so I don't think it would have the same effect as if you or I were asked to take off our t shirts. But ya know I would tell them just exactly what they could do...no I'm not going to say it here...but I think you get the idea.
Melusina March 7th, 2003, 04:28 PM It seems as if they were being punished simply for expressing a dissenting opinion. I thought having tolerance for dissenting opinions was part of the difference between a democracy and a dictatorship. Whether or not anyone supports a war, there is no need for us to end up warring with each other. And over a stupid t-shirt?
Ok, I am going to get off my soapbox and go eat cookie dough ice cream.

That particular case Carolyn mentions has gotten alot of coverage, because the one boy was suspended for refusing to turn his shirt inside out. There's also a female high school basketball player now turning away from the flag at BBall games during the National Anthem.
It's their perogative.
I want some cookie dough icecream too. :P

Teacherbear March 7th, 2003, 05:03 PM Ooooo... I LOVE it! What a hoot! Where will you where it?
LOL,
Ummmmm
Well . . . . probably on her boobs! hahahahaahahahaha ;)
Please forgive, I HAD to say that! hahahaahahahahaahahahahahahaahahaha
Cool idea, though, bunniee! :)
gabiwags March 7th, 2003, 05:33 PM This might be a good time to mention - just for the fun of it - that we are not a democracy - we are a republic.
I'd wear the T-shirt anyway ...:DD...g

My mom always likes to point this out. ;) Anyone who grew up reciting the pledge of allegiance should know this too! (I pledge alliance to the flag, etc. etc...and to the Republic, for which it stands...)
I ended up doing another t-shirt because I wasn't happy with how the first one turned out. Hooray for Hobby Lobby and sparkly iron-ons.

LOL, gabi! :D
"It's just the vibe of the thing." ;)
(and ten points to anyone who knows that quote)
Grenwich March 8th, 2003, 04:05 AM It was the catch phrase for some Aussie movie wasn't it?
I saw a trailer for it I think.....or read something about it in the NYT...
sorry, my best efforts, but I can't remember.
Enlighten us Melusina - and I'm been meaning to ask you - where in Joisey? I was in Hoboken when it was a dump! Some friends in the city were looking at places over there now - and telling me 110K for 1BDRMs! What?
Gren
Melusina March 8th, 2003, 04:30 AM It's from "The Castle." I love this movie. :)

And yes, Hoboken is ridiculously expensive, and there is no parking anywhere. It's for people who can't live right in NY, really. I am farther away in the NJ burbs, fortunately. When I go to Hoboken, I never drive. I find a sucker, I mean a friend, and I treat for dinner. It's cheaper than the therapy I'd need if I drove there.
turquoise_girl March 8th, 2003, 07:14 AM i absolutely love it! I'd wear it!
Sheba March 10th, 2003, 12:03 PM ROFLMAO.....
That's brilliant.
BTW, over at TBB, I listed a few ideas for naming "Persian Gulf War: The Sequel".... cause it's gotta have a catchy name to go along with the snappy theme song and graphics.... and "BOOB" was one of them!! It stands for "Bombs Only On Baghdad".
Thought you might enjoy that.
I also came up with B2B (aka Back to Baghdad) and BOOM (Bombs only on Muslims).... yes I get sarcastic when I image the coming "Slaughter of the Innocents".
*sigh* Sheba
Melusina March 10th, 2003, 01:08 PM What's TBB? :?
Sheba March 11th, 2003, 01:00 PM Hi Melusina!
TBB = The Beauty Bottle - www.thebeautybottle.com
It's a site owned and operated by our dear Steph started long before she became involved here at LHC. Lots of other beauty boards and articles as well... there's also a message board called the "Steam Room" for venting!
BTW, have I seen you around LiveJournal, or perhaps someone else is using the same avatar there???
Take care, Sheba

No, I'm too lazy to keep a journal - in fact, I'm behind with posting in my hair journal.
Thanks, the Beauty Bottle looks interesting. :)
BeeLady March 13th, 2003, 12:53 PM Hon, can I be really cheeky and ask if I can "steal" that image and make a card from it for a friend? I promise a credit line. I have a friend with whom I have had a boob joke for years and it's her birthday soon.
I will understand if you say no.
