View Full Version : BAKED on deep conditioner!
LongRed March 6th, 2003, 01:29 PM Yesterday I went to my favorite
salon for a deep conditioning
treatment. I LOVE going there
for this because she gloops me
with some thick conditioners,
puts a processing cap on, and I
"veg" under the hooded dryer for
a "while"........
WELL, this brings me to the while
part.........
She was busy and hadn't written me
into her schdeule. She has said just
come in after school.....well I got there
she wisked me off and soon I was under
the dryer...............
And so it went, I was under the dryer for over AN HOUR!
She had forgotten about me....GOSH, now that's
some conditioning treatment! She felt so
terrible and kept apologizing (I just love
this gal as a hair dresser!) and she didn't charge
me for the treatment!
Let me tell you today my hair is soooo soft and shiny!
She just braided my hair into a french braid while
it was wet and now it's like silk! (dang, it should be
for an hour of sitting time!) :)
For those inquiring minds, she used Rusk's Deep Sea
Mud on my hair.....wow, smooth as silk...but a SORE
BUTT! :)
GoldLady March 6th, 2003, 01:38 PM WOW! Sounds like you got more than your money's worth AND your money back!! Cool beans! I'll have to check that conditioner out; sounds like it's a good one!

Cowgal March 6th, 2003, 02:16 PM <joins in on the growing hair dance> :D
I dunno, LongRed- sounds like you got a GOOD deal to me- sore butt or no sore butt!
My GM treatment ended up being well over an hour with the 1 hour treatment on. ;) 'Cause she was busy with another client- so I got a lil extra time there too.
It's not always a bad thing! 'Specially with conditioners!
How's Lad doing? My horses send nickers.
LongRed March 6th, 2003, 02:19 PM Lad's doing well! He went last weekend
to a professional trainer to get "fine tuned"
(I called it "fitness camp) for showing this
summer.
This gal that's the trainer trained him when
he was a baby and did a fab job with him....
Thanks for asking! (I love your little picture!)
Teacherbear March 6th, 2003, 03:27 PM How wonderful, Longred!!!!! What a sweetheart!!! Free AND a french braid! :)
Also, I LOVE your new siggy! Who did it for you?
LongRed March 6th, 2003, 03:37 PM Palonia did that wonderful red headed doll! :)
Carolyn March 6th, 2003, 05:40 PM Your hair sounds awesome. I gotta try that Rusk stuff. But an hour under the dryer? I would die. I hate salon dryers. I get such a stiff neck and headache sitting there. But your hair sounds so nice I"m sure it was worth it. Did you get picture of it in the french braid?
Cowgal March 7th, 2003, 03:08 AM "Fitness camp"! LOL!
I am sure my horses would love that
"Is there going to be grain at fitness camp?" LOL, naw they're alright horses. Pretty would never turn down a mountain trail. She has gotten out of shape after her long break from foaling and weaning though.
Good luck with your show season!!!!
Arcticpixie March 7th, 2003, 07:26 AM Now I get to search this podunk town for Rusk Deep Sea Mud Heeheehee.
I'm glad the only down side to your extended conditioning treatment was a sore butt. I think you have a very sweet hairdresser. Hold on to that lady!
I love your new Dolly. Palonia did a beautiful job.
Equestrian March 7th, 2003, 07:31 AM Sounds like you got a great treatment, for a great price!! I'll have to try that Rusk stuff. If it lhelps to make you hair look as good as it does, it's gotta be good stuff!!!
LongRed March 7th, 2003, 02:03 PM It really did make my hair soft and super smelling!
I think my hair liked basking in that stuff!
Glad all is well that ends well! :)
Axium March 7th, 2003, 05:09 PM How terrifying that must have been, for a moment! Jeez, you are so freaking lucky that your hair turned out even better for it. Wow!
Kati75 March 7th, 2003, 11:50 PM I wish a knew a stylist like that... *sigh*
