View Full Version : Please share my joy......
BeeLady March 6th, 2003, 11:01 AM I don't know where to post this post, some of it belongs here, some on the Friendship Board.
1) I reached my first goal length March 1st. I have tailbone length hair. This is kinda weird, really. The bulk isn't there, just the longest parts, and probably even when I get my ends to classic most of the rest won't be at tailbone yet!! I have gone without a professional trim for over a year now, but I think I might have to succumb shortly because I am looking raggedy, and I don't like looking like that. No point having long hair if it doesn't look good to other people - I don't want to look like it's not cared for. I have newer pics in the camera right now, including my stuff for the hair typing project. I have to say my hair is feeling really long now, which I like. Sadly not sure about the LUSH, don't know whether it's the lack of cones, type of product, or SLS, would like to try a cone free liquid shampoo and conditioner for a more direct comparison.
2) On the home/work/house/moving front..... My dh got a raise on Tuesday, so all our plans are a bit up in the air at the moment. I don't know whether we are going to move on, or what. It brings a whole new set of things with it (some good, some potentially stressful) that we need to talk through. We are driving southwards for the dedication of our family's newest addition. We always talk and travel...and there sure is lots to discuss.
3) Got a potential hairstick supplier in my colleague's son, who does some woodturning. He's sent me some samples, but they are more like small tent pegs....I need to send him some sketches. (The basis is great, they are just way too short and fat!) Could be great, what a good connection that would be. We will see. I will try and do that over the weekend.
SO........thanks Equestrian  ;) :D I had been trying to figure out a message for this purpose, but..........couldn't get it together.
Love

snippet March 6th, 2003, 11:45 AM :Star: :Star: Congrats on reaching tailbone Bees! :Star: :Star:
That is a great achievement. I'm so happy for you. I think reaching a goal is a great time to sit back and think about what your next steps are. If that means trimming for fullness, then by all means do it. Goals are your plan, not ours, but ya know I don't think anyone will disagree with your choices.
:Star: :Star: Hurrah for hubby! :Star: :Star:
A raise is very good indeed. Hope you and he make some good decisions in your discussions. And congrats on the new addition's dedication too!
Maybe if you had a sample to send your son's friend, he could understand how thin you need the sticks... even a simple chopstick?
Nitsa March 6th, 2003, 11:53 AM That is great Bees.

Equestrian March 7th, 2003, 03:35 AM YAY Bees!!
Congrats again on making it to tailbone length!!!!
Thank you for the sweet "thank you"!! :D :) :D
How wonderful your husband received a raise!! I hope you have a wonderful time driving and enjoying your husbands company and conversation even though some of the conversation will be a bit stressful. A wonderful opportunity to enjoy each other & work/plan together!!
Is it possible to send a nicely shaped hairstick to your family friend, as someone else has suggested? Then he can get a real feel for the size & shape, even the smoothness required.
I'm very happy for you Bees!!
Siobhan March 7th, 2003, 04:05 AM Fantastic Beelady
I just love hearing people have reached their goals, those ends that are there are really leading the way for the bulk as you put it!
Good news for DH as well
And a growing creative streak too! 8)
Arcticpixie March 7th, 2003, 07:47 AM Oh Bees! Isn't it amazing what a difference a week makes? Everything is looking so much better for you and your hubby!
:Star: :Star:~*~*Congratulations*~*~ :Star: :Star:
I hope you have a safe and relaxing trip. I'm sure your conversation will be more productive than stressful. (at least I hope so!)
Have a wonderful weekend Bees!
BeeLady March 7th, 2003, 07:58 AM This community has to be one of the best on the web.
1) On the hairsticks........I am going to send some of my hair toys over to him in a tub.....but it's looking less likely because the two he made took ages. I may get on to to FireMountainGems aswell..Plus also my local chinese market.
2) On the talking and decision making............soo much, we have so much to discuss. Ack, I have a head full, must make a list tonight so I don't lose track of things. Sometimes life gives us gifts, wrapped in ridiculous packaging (Dar Williams) and this is definitely one of those times.
Thanks for all your loving care. Even though this week has brought lots of happy things, I know there are challenges ahead for us. My tips are due to make classic next October (2004) and we could be anywhere by then. Partly that makes me really excited......partly it makes me want to run for the hills!!
Hair pics next week hopefully. I've been finishing up a film so I can put fresh in for this thing on Sunday. Will be repeating my hairdo from Christmas I think for Sunday, or a nice figure 8 bun. Not sure as yet.
Lots of Love to you.....may you too be blessed.
