i was poking around for braid stuff and this is what i found: <A href="https://w1407.securedweb.net/laneysproducts/www/hair/">Biker Hair Accessories</A>. scroll down to about half way and check out the "Easy Braiders". those things are cool. down at the bottom of the page, they have some pictures and instructions on how to use it. it might actually be fun AND pretty.....and not too awfully expensive.

My housemate got something that sounds a lot like that at the Ren Faire last fall. It looked pretty, but more time consuming than a normal French braid, and I'd be afraid of fine hair catching in the beads. (She has very thick hair.) I should try hers sometimes and see what I think. (She cut her hair shorter and doesn't use it any more.)
